Bored with your core routine?
Spice it up by adding crunches 😉
Double spice it up by adding an unstable element to your crunches.
Many exercises we use with clients can be made to be more challenging when a new element is added in such as instability.
Give these variations a try and let us know which variations you found to be the most challenging and best fit for you!

There is no one size fits all when it comes to movement!
Whether you prefer 1:1, a partner session or training in a small group, we like to meet you where you are!
With a variety of options, we can help you get started and keep your body moving.
Some folks dabble in a variety of options.
It’s really about finding something you enjoy and showing up feeling supported by your coach and community!

My name is Kira and this is my mom.
She is 64 years old, has Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoporosis.
I have trained her twice a week since February, and have seen significant gains in her mobility, strength, and balance.
It is incredibly satisfying to us both to see her achieve new movements, lift more weight, and see her muscles grow!
You see, it is never too late to start moving!
Functional exercise can work wonders in every day movement as you age!
Please don’t count yourself out thinking you’re “too old to exercise!”
Let’s get you moving and feeling more confident in your abilities!!!
If you haven’t met me, Hi!
DM me here or Meadowlark Fitness if you’re interested in opening a chat about working together - I promise I don’t bite!

Something each coach at The Training Den loves is stability and balance training!
We have quite the variety of tools to challenge, improve and test your stability.
Stability and balance training is for everyone.
What stability and balance training provides for all is fall prevention, better posture and joint health, injury resilience, confidence in unpredictable terrain and it supports strength gains with other movements.
Tell us your favorite stability or balance exercise!

Push-ups aren’t a one size fits all!
No matter which version you start with, push-ups are hard — especially for women!
But hard doesn’t mean impossible.
It’s important to progress the movement, not the rep count.
Once the movement becomes clean, level up!

Monday - welcome back!
Jumping into the week like….
Every challenge - like every day- I an opportunity to see how far we have come.
In the same breath, it’s an opportunity to see where we want to go.
Let’s tackle the week with intention and be grateful for where we are right now!

Grace rates us 10/10 for form and most of all, enthusiasm!
We may do a lot of fun gym girl videos because they’re just that, fun!
But rest assured, the only reason we can do many of these moves is due to the real work we each do on the day to day.
Whether it’s training for our own individual goals, exercising while teaching a class, or learning a new skill set in the fitness arena, we are all students of movement.
Stay tuned because on the coming season we will have more how to videos and educational content.
Let us know if there is something you would like to learn or see in the near future!

The Bird Dog Stability Ball Challenge is both easier and harder than it looks!
Stability is something we should all be training.
This specific move is not exactly a starting point but rather something more advanced.
Start small by working on general stability then gradually find way to challenge yourself.
Get good at bird dog!
Get good as body awareness and recruiting other muscles to support your stability work!
Get good at pushing yourself to try hard things but as always, make sure you’re safe and don’t attempt things you’re not quite ready for.
If you train with any of us and want to try this, let us know!
If you don’t train with us and attempt this challenge, tag us and let us know how it went!
