Helena Novas is cross country and track & field club for Helena-area youth ages 7-18.

Our mission is to develop athletic skills, foster personal growth, improve health and wellness, and pursue competitive track & field in an optimal training environment.

🔥 We encourage any kids that will be 9-11 years old on May 28 to participate in the HEAT meet, which is a free event that will be held at Vigilante Stadium. PARENTS can sign up kids at https://runsignup.com/Race/MT/Helena/HEAT

Please share with any other friends who might be interested in a FREE track meet. It’s a great community opportunity to experience the fun of track!

Our 7-8 and 9-10 age divisions are full for the 2026 Helena Novas Track and Field Season. We still have room in the 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18 divisions. Registration info is available at the link in our profile.

Fun, rewarding and incredibly affordable! The 2025 Helena Novas XC season is just around the corner and registration opens August 28.
For just $50, participants get coaches two days per week from Sept. 29 to Nov. 8; a Novas team singlet; meet registration to the USATF Montana Junior Olympic Championships in Helena, Nike Cross Regionals in Spokane, and USATF Junior Olympic Nationals in Shelbyville, IN; and a Novas TBA spirit item!

Day 2 at the Spokane High School Invitational on Sunday was a fun one, highlighted by Aayden Simmons’ victory in the triple jump at 48-3.5 - the seventh longest high school level effort across the nation so far this winter. It was Aayden’s second victory of the weekend after claiming the long jump Saturday. The Novas were busy in a variety of events over the weekend, including the jumps, sprints, and distance events. Many more high school and middle school athletes will don Novas blue Sunday, Feb. 2 in Bozeman. Go Novas! Congrats to a couple longtime Novas on a great weekend at the Spokane High School Preview! Aayden Simmons FTW in the triple jump (47-6.5) and third in the long jump (21-9), and his younger sister Quinlyn placed 18th in the 60 with a PR of 8.02, while also jumping 15-2 in the long jump.

Incredibly proud of our four Novas - Wynona Schmidt, Mckenlee Young, Megan Fellenz, and Allie Perry - who all showed up and showed out at USATF National JOXC. Each runner left their best out there and collected a PR to go along with an incredible experience in Indiana. Go Novas!
