From the past, to the present, to the future of Billings Rugby.

We had pups. We had dawgs. We had Mavericks. We had Marmots. And we had Bulls.

Every generation of Billings rugby showed up for this year’s Rugby Community Day, and we could not be more grateful.

The event was a success not because of any one team or organizer, but because people came out, shared a meal, played some rugby, celebrated one another, and helped create a genuinely great evening.

A huge thank-you to Adam Kuchin and Magic City 7s Rugby Club for an incredible summer and for helping bring families to the event.

Thank you to John Dahl, Billy C., and Keri for taking care of the grill and coordinating the food.

And thank you to Yellowstone Mavericks coaches Josh Couch, TenAngelo Ruffatto, Jackson, Rebekah Wong, and Justin Moran for getting their squads there and continuing to grow the game at every level.

We were also proud to induct Greg Koszuta into the Billings Rugby Hall of Fame, recognizing his lasting impact on the pitch and the rugby community in Billings.

This is what rugby is all about: community, growth, and commitment.

We nearly doubled attendance from last year, and seeing this many players, families, coaches, alumni, and supporters together has us incredibly excited about where Billings rugby is headed.

Celebrating the Game. Growing the Community. Billings Rugby.

As ruggers, we understand that our greatest impact goes beyond the pitch.

Every person that plays this sport can pick out one or two individuals or moments that got you hooked. Could have been a parent that played, friend, coach, random youtube video.. More than likely it was an outside source—anything that lights the fire in someone to play this wild (and very fun) sport. This is why Rugby is so community driven.

We owe it to the younger generations to be that torch to set the next fire, to set a good example, and pass down our knowledge & passion for the game.

We are so proud of all of the Billings Rugby Community and how big it is getting.

Thanks Adam Kuchin and Magic City 7s Rugby Club for allowing us to be a part of your program and help plant the seeds for the next generation of Billings Rugby. It was a great summer with the kids.
