Early this morning, one of our very own held the Hebbronville Border Patrol Explorer Post 0359 flag for the last time. Our PAIC A. De La Fuente retired as an explorer and will be moving forward to pursue a college degree. De La Fuente, a Class of 2020 graduate was a 4 year explorer who served as PAIC for Post 0359. De La Fuente will be attending Texas A&M College in Kingsville, Texas.
During the ceremony in the Hebbronville Border Patrol Station, former and current advisors attended in order to express their gratitude and farewell to De La Fuente. Current Border Patrol Advisor S. Saldaña mentioned in the award ceremony, “We have seen you grow for the last 4 years, slowly becoming the accomplished leader you are now. We have high expectations for you, make us proud.”
Former advisor Border Patrol Agent M. Barrera said; “You will be missed kid! It was an honor to have worked with you, and wish you only the best in your upcoming future. Continue to challenge yourself, and know that Hebbronville Station is always gonna be like family. I am certain you will soon become our green brother.”
Hebbronville Station Patrol Agent in Charge M. Sauceda presented De La Fuente a $500 scholarship from the Hebbronville Border Patrol Station. Congratulations and best of luck in your new journey.
