Today was a reminder of why we do what we do.
Nearly two years ago, we built and installed this one-of-a-kind Superior Swingset for a local family. Recently, I received a message from them saying they were moving to a new home. Their biggest concern wasn't packing furniture or loading boxes—it was making sure their children's swingset came with them.
The kids simply couldn't imagine leaving it behind.
Because of the size of this custom set, moving it was no small task. It required two trips with the truck and trailer, carefully disassembling the clubhouse and main structure, transporting everything, and then reassembling it piece by piece at the family's new home.
As we worked, I couldn't help but think about all the memories that had been made on this swingset over the last two years. Countless hours of climbing, swinging, imagining, laughing, and simply being kids.
When we build a swingset, we're not just building lumber, slides, and swings. We're creating a place where childhood happens. A place where friendships are made, confidence is built, imaginations run wild, and families spend time together.
Of course, we love seeing the excitement when a new swingset is first delivered. But moments like today mean even more. Knowing that after two years of daily adventures, these children still loved their swingset enough to insist it move with them is the greatest compliment we could ever receive.
At Superior Swingsets, our goal has never been simply to sell swingsets. Our goal is to build something so special that years later, when life changes and families move on to a new chapter, the swingset is one of the things they refuse to leave behind.
Thank you to this wonderful family for allowing us to be a small part of their story. We are honored to have helped bring their favorite backyard memories to their new home, where many more are waiting to be made.
