Washington Wrestling took 15 wrestlers to the NVL League Finals and placed 2nd as a Team (out of 13 teams)!! Also, 6 First place medals & majority of the kids medaled today!! What a great way to end the season!!

Welcome to Washington Wrestling 2021/22 season:

We will have grades 6-8th wrestler signups on Monday November 15th in the Washington Library 1145-1245 at lunch (to get a tentative roster of kids). Please register your wrestler on Family ID (Washington winter sports / wrestling). They Will need a current physical uploaded to the page.

First practice is January 10th!!!

I want to give a huge recognition to Washington Head Wrestling Coach Mitch Williams & Asst. Coach Seth Grell on a successful season!! I enjoyed every minute as a Volunteer Asst. Coach!! Great group of kids that really responded to the coaching & situational drilling & hit their stride at the right time. A very memorable season!! Let’s do it again next year👍

2020 NVL League Wrestling Championships. What an incredible ending to a history making season. From winning a league pennant to the Majority of the team medaling today. We had three 1st place league champs, several 2nd & 3rd placers as well. We also took 4th out of 15 teams! Such a fun season, great group of kids and wrestling families! Our 8th grade class who started this program will now move onto CHS Wrestling.

It was a slug fest, back & forth, edge of your seat Kind of Battle for 1st Place tonight with Washington Wrestling vs Lawrence Jones. Washington came out victorious 48-30. Washington wins the NVL League Division Pennant. Such a proud moment for the 8th graders who started this wrestling program from the ground up 3 years ago. Now onto NVL league finals tournament on Saturday at Rancho Cotate HS to end the season.

We ask that everyone attends an important parent meeting Monday 2/24 at 530 in the Washington Library. It is regarding our Saturday tournament, we will pass on necessary info & get all the kids pre-registered at that time.

Washington Wrestling had a great day of wrestling at the Pomolita Invitational Tournament in Ukiah. Lots of 1st place medals & Washington also took home the 1st Place Team Trophy!! (In only our 3rd year as a team). Thanks to all the parents who came out & supported the team today!!
