What a great cold rainy opening day at the ball park today! Thank you to everyone who volunteered or worked to make today a success. It takes a small army to work a ball park and we sure appreciate ours. Also, A big thank you to Troy Young and Prairie Farmers Association for cooking/donating the food today. You guys have always supported the association and we greatly appreciate it! If your kids played today please post pictures in the comments. We would love to see them and share them! GO HORNETS !!!

The Hazen Baseball and softball association is hosting an umpire mini clinic for anyone interested in umpiring softball or baseball for the 2026 season.

Whether you’re new to umpiring or experienced vet this is a great opportunity to get hands-on instruction and ask questions.

We had someone set up this table at the baseball building. So, if you are needing some equipment for your child please reach out to your child’s coach to get access to the building. Also, we had several kids playing this year needing scholarships. If you want to give a scholarship to help these kids they are $70/each and you can send checks to the HBA at PO BOX 282 Hazen, AR 72064 or contact any HBA member or coach. Thanks

Sign ups have gone a little bit better this week but we are needing just a few more to sign up in a couple of age groups. 11/12 year old boys, Babe Ruth Boys (13-16 year old), and 9/10 year old girls softball. 🙏 A Big Thank You to Our City

We also want to sincerely thank the city for their continued support. They’ve helped us add new bullpens on Fields 1 and 3, giving teams another great space to practice and warm up before games.

In addition, the bathrooms and concession stand have been repainted and updated. While we’re still finishing a few things, they will be very usable this season — and we’re excited about the improvements!

We’re looking forward to a great year of baseball and softball. Thank you for supporting our kids and our league! 💜 ⚾🥎
