We are finalizing our tryout times for Monday and Tuesday next week at Madison Golf Center and will be there from 3:30-8! If you have a middle or high schooler that wants to play high school golf they need to sign up using the QR code or can follow the attached link to a Google Form.

We hope you’re enjoying the back to school craze! The HG golf team will be holding an interest meeting for all 7th-12th grade students at Meridianville Middle School and Hazel Green High School on Wednesday August 19th at 3:45 at Hazel Green High School. We will be discussing the tryout dates, expectations, and plans for an outstanding 2026-2027 golf season! Please help us share the word as all students are welcome! ⛳️❤️

As the year wraps up, we’ve been celebrating our 2026 HGHS golf team through banquet season and graduation, and it’s really hit us how special this group has been.

Our four seniors, Dylan, Lucas I., Hunter, and Lucas G., have meant so much to this program. Their leadership, hard work, and support for their teammates helped shape HGHS Golf into what it is today, and they’ll definitely be missed.

What made this group special wasn’t just the scores or wins. It was the way they showed up every day, supported each other, and made being part of this team fun and meaningful. These seniors helped build a culture that’s going to keep going long after this season, and the younger guys are ready to keep it rolling.

It’s tough seeing this senior group move on, but we’re really excited about what’s ahead for HGHS Golf and all the younger players ready to step up and keep building something special together.

We hope they know this will always be their team too. No matter where life takes them, they will always have a place in HGHS Golf and people here who love them, believe in them, and will always be cheering them on. 💚⛳️

Sub-State may not have gone the way we hoped, but goodness are we proud of Dylan and Lucas.

These two have poured so much heart, hard work, leadership, and kindness into HGHS Golf over the years, and today was no different. They are the kind of teammates who make everyone around them better, from our varsity players all the way down to our middle school golfers. Their impact on this program is something truly special.

We are going to miss their leadership more than words can say, but we are so thankful we got to be part of their journey. No matter where life takes them next, they will always have a family in HGHS Golf and a whole community cheering them on every step of the way. We are so, so proud of these boys.

There’s something really special about the community we are building in HGHS Golf, and this weekend was such a perfect reminder of that.

At the Golfweek Amateur Tour event at The Glade at Cedar Crest Golf Club, we got to see that community come full circle. One of our former girls captains, Dakota Burcham, competed alongside Coach Vaughn, and it was so special to watch. Dakota finished T3 in her first competition in her division, and Coach Vaughn finished 9th in his division.

Moments like this mean more than scores. They show that HGHS Golf is about more than just a season. It is about relationships, growth, and a love for the game that lasts far beyond high school.

We are so proud of Dakota and Coach Vaughn, and even more proud of the community we are building. Our goal has always been bigger than golf. We want to create a place where our players feel supported, stay connected, and continue playing for years to come.

In back to back years Dylan qualifies for Sub-State! He worked his way back to Terrapin Hills this year putting together a season with multiple All-Tournament teams and capping it off with a wire to wire qualifying round!
