Congratulations to DAWG Waylon Clutts for finishing T-1st in a qualifying round for the 112th Kentucky Amateur Golf Tournament. Waylon tallied a (-1) 69 this morning at Bellefonte CC in Ashland earning one of six qualifying spots available for the State Amateur. He joins HHS teammate Brayden Baker, who qualified earlier this week at Griffin Gate GC in Lexington.

The State Amateur will be played June 16th - 18th at the University of Louisville Golf Club. Other qualifying events will be held in Bowling Green, Calvert City, Louisville, Danville and Elizabethtown.

Hazard High School Golf would like to wish Waylon and Brayden good luck! Go DAWGS!!!

Congratulations to DAWG Brayden Baker for qualifying for the Kentucky State Amateur today at Griffin Gate GC in Lexington. He had a roller coaster of a day after shooting 33 on the front and 43 on the back for a (+4) 76. Brayden was in the first group to tee off this morning and had to stick around all day to earn a spot in an 8-man playoff for the last 4 qualifying spots. Brayden went birdie, par to seal the deal. Congratulations Brayden! GO DAWGS!

Proud of our guy Waylon for winning the championship flight in the Sleepy Hollow Invitational posting an impressive -10 and winning by 6 strokes.

Love seeing our golfers Noah and Brayden getting off-season work in as well. Noah played in the championship flight with Waylon scoring 70,78 and Brayden competed in the Derby Classic in Louisville in a Jr. PGA event finishing 6th and shooting 70,76. Keep working DAWGS!
