Congratulations to Waylon for qualifying as the top individual (not on a qualifying team) for the 2026 KGCA All-State Championship. Our team finished the regular season at 24th. Congratulations to them as well. All of our guys and Ryleigh will be preparing over the next 2 weeks for the postseason. Good luck Sat and Sun to Waylon.

So proud of our golf program student-athletes today. Our guys headed to Richmond (Gibson Bay GC) to defend our 2025 All A State Championship. Although we came up short, our team represented Hazard well and placed an impressive 3rd out of 16 teams. The course played tough today under hot, dry and windy conditions. Congratulations to a really good LCA team for earning the title this year.

Individually, 2025 champion Brayden Baker turned in a gutsy (+5) 77 finishing a solid 11th out of 112 golfers.

Across town at Arlington GC, Ryleigh Griffith finished a super impressive 8th out of 112 female golfers tallying a (+ 9) 81.

Once again this season, Waylon Clutts stole the spotlight as he was crowned individual State Champion. Waylon’s round of -4 (68) was one of only 3 rounds under par for the day.

Also very proud of Noah, Havok and Drew. All of our golfers fought like DAWGS and we’ll live to fight another day. GO DAWGS!
