6th grade Lady Canes topped Rails 19-10 for the win during last night's game played in Spooner. The Canes were able to get the job done while being down players and only playing with 7. Despite not having a full roster, the Canes had some excellent defensive plays. On offense, they showed high level IQ running the bases. The game was called early due to lightning.

5th grade lady Canes pulled off a 14-13 W at Webster/Siren last night!

Manager Marley's recap of the game:
Charli ( #44) had an amazing defensive play at shortstop where she caught the ball and threw to third to get the base runner out. Reagan ( #12) got a good hit. The girls as a whole played excellent. They were talking, communicating, cheering each other on. And our batting is getting better!

Mother Nature was NOT on the 6th grade team's side this week and both Monday (06/08) and Wednesday (06/10) games were cancelled.

Spooner Black has already rescheduled to 06/23 and we are working with Shell Lake to reschedule with them.

5/6 grade had a combined team practice on Thursday (06/11). A lot of fun was had and we were all very happy to get some softball in this week! Let's hope the weather cooperates this week.

This week was met with game cancellations for all of our teams, but the 7th grade team was able to squeak in a game on Friday, June 12. Game recap from coach Sadie Campbell:

🥎💪 First win of the season!

The Hurricanes battled hard and came away with a 6-5 victory over Shell Lake Blue. Sidney ( #3) started in the circle and held Shell Lake to just one run through the first three innings. Remmy ( #2), our outstanding 5th grader playing up with the team, closed out the final two innings with determination and grit.

Jenna, Remmy, Heaven (2), Klaire, and Evelynn crossed the plate for us tonight. More importantly, every single player showed our team motto: PRIDE — Purpose, Resilience, Integrity, Determination, and Everyone. We are proud of the effort, teamwork, and heart these girls brought to the field.

🌧️ Due to the weather, tonight's home games have been canceled.

While there may be a few breaks in the rain, the forecast remains uncertain, and the decision was made to cancel.

Players—grab a glove and spend a few minutes playing catch at home so you're ready for the next game!

Stay safe, and we'll see everyone back at the field soon.

There is still a scheduled game in Spooner for 🥎 5th Grade..... we will update this post if it is also cancelled.
