DID YOU KNOW…?

Cecchetti was connected to some of the most influential figures in ballet history.

Enrico Cecchetti wasn’t simply a teacher of ballet—he was a teacher to generations of dancers who would go on to shape the art form itself.

His influence reached some of the greatest names of the early 20th-century ballet world, including dancers such as Anna Pavlova, Vaslav Nijinsky, and Serge Lifar, as well as countless artists who carried his principles into the next generation.

And perhaps most remarkably, Cecchetti’s influence wasn’t just about steps.

He developed dancers with an understanding of technique, musicality, coordination, épaulement, artistry, the intelligence behind movement, and organizing movements into days of the week.

That philosophy continues today.

When a dancer studies the Cecchetti Method, they aren’t simply learning choreography—they are becoming part of a living legacy of ballet education.
