Haymarket Iceplex Guests,
As you know, we generally host Stick and Shoot sessions throughout the week. In those sessions, we allow our coaches to teach private lessons, with a limited number of students. Recently, there has been a larger than normal group of students seeking private lessons. That has caused there to be limited ice available for Stick and Shoot customers.
Moving forward, we will schedule 2 different events: Hockey Skills Sessions and Stick and Shoots, described as follows.
Hockey Skills Session: Ice times Monday through Friday will generally be scheduled as Hockey Skills Sessions. In these sessions, our private lesson coaching staff can teach an unrestricted number of students. Those students will pay a Stick and Shoot fee to the rink to enter the ice, and they will pay the cost of the lesson to the instructor. Generally, lessons are suitable for a wide range of players’ ages and skill level, and most instructors can accommodate additional players in their group if they want to join in the lesson. Space on the ice will be limited. Some sessions will be busier than others. During Hockey Skills Sessions, we will also allow Stick and Shoot customers to drop in, as long as they understand that open ice will be limited.
Stick and Shoot: Ice times Saturday and Sunday will generally be scheduled as Stick and Shoot, although Hockey Skills Sessions may also be scheduled on the weekends. During scheduled Stick and Shoot sessions, coaches are limited to 4 students.
