Weekly meetup! With the local summer events slowly coming to and end, it’s time for more group runs 🥹🏃🏃‍♀️.

Near future events (grab a pencil):
10/10 at 10am - Field trip to Murphy: seed orchard (see site for details)
10/21 - 3rd annual pumpkin run! This will be during our normal Wed meetup at 6pm - bring any sized pumpkin to complete the 30 minute run.
10/28 - costume run! Weekly meetup, but with costumes - dress scary or as your favorite runner (we all showing up as ghosts or what??)

Field trip complete! Thanks for coming out and checking out this beautiful paved path in Topton, NC. We got lucky with overcast but no rain. Next month, we are off to the Seed Orchard in Murphy. Until then, see you at our weekly Wednesday meetup 😎

FIELD TRIP ALERT!
Saturday, September 12th at 10am - Nantahala Bikeway

Meet at the trailhead parking lot (Google Maps search: Nantahala Bikeway). Portos on site, but no access to water. The paved bikeway is 1.2 out (2.4 out and back) then turns into a gravel forest road for another 3 miles. Waterfalls along the road (this is a climb) - awesome flatness and bridges along the paved trail following the river.

Hottest meetup of the year 🔥🔥, but no problem 😎😅.
Race season is here, and we have folks training for 5ks, mountain runs, 10ks, half & full marathons, even some 50k-ers getting ready for the autumn. This is a great weekly meetup to plan for those training and long runs days. Thanks for showing up and see you next week.

The Ocoee River trails field trip is always so beautiful! Even in the summer when the trail is a bit dense, it’s an enjoyable run and hike. And all along the trail, you get to watch the paddlers take on the river currents. So cool!
