I would like to say I appreciate all our wonderful students, that these young men and woman will go to do great things. I pray that I like all people that seek wisdom are an example on to others in life, and in action. It has been placed on my heart and many circumstances in place that unfortunately the 28th will be our last class until further notice. I hope this will only be temporary and I have cherished every moment with our class. I am proud of everyone of you. The class has shown me they can go past the point they thought they couldn't. All those in the class have the potential to achieve great things and excel despite what their own weakness might be. I have seen many of you come a long way in confidence, determination, and overcoming your own fears. As a teacher I strive to be a student I ask you all do the same, don't stop learning in everything and seek the true master.
The bible says everything has its' season, and Jesus said in John 14:12 -- "whoever believes in Me will also so the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."
If Jesus said you'll do greater things than what has been preformed in the bible that is powerful and everyone of you have the potential and drive if you want it to set your minds to something and achieve anything. I look forward to seeing everyone and hope we'll get to continue at a later date down the road. I am proud to have been your instructor and for those that would like to continue I can assist you in finding a good school or an associate school within the area. please see me after class if I can help you with anything.

Hope everyone had a good father's day. Today was very different we started with poomse (forms) and broke them down in a one step sparring setting. Also for advanced back to sparring and pad drills. Something I'd like everyone to try and practice is to always be a student. over the years and I still do encounter students that have other martial arts backgrounds. I personally feel every martial art strives towards the same end goal of making you the best you can be just in a different way of getting there. This Monday we had the privilege to aid in the Huntsville pretest and I'm reminded the importance of have the self-discipline, diligence,and dedication for without these things you won't go far in martial arts or even I dare say life. You might ask how and I'd say you might not have the self-discipline to be unsupervised to do your job because your mind is elsewhere but that also goes into diligence to stay focused and on task. Finally hope everyone had a chance on mother's day and father's day to honor your parents because that's so important. If you can't honor them how could you ever respect and honor someone else in life like a brother or your wife/husband or even the in-laws. Thank you hope everyone has a blessed week.

It's been on my heart for a while now how and where the school should go. I have been wanting to do demonstrations, board breaking classes and if we should add the chung do extreme weapons and forms. I feel I'd like more time to evaluate if our school is ready but it will be something I'd like for the future of the Hayden school. Last year or so even these recent couple of classes I've seen everyone of our students character the good and bad. I feel the want sometimes, I see the drive sometimes, I even see desire, but with all things in life it takes dedication, and hard work. I also see the more human side of us all the part that gives up, lack of motivation, the wrong attitude, and lack of self discipline in our lives. I like all of the students experience and face these same feeling but will I let them grab a hold of me and define who I am? Motivation is hard so motivate others. Remind yourselves who you are a creation that was fearfully and carefully made. You can but why are you doing these things? Have a purpose not just a plan. I wanted to teach to meet people and influence their lives like someone did for me. You are good enough and you will get that good one day at a time. Hope everyone continues training no class this Sunday Go out and honor your Father in heaven and on earth this father's day. 👊

I want to focus on the basics because it sets up the foundation for the road you walk on. one thing many never reach is black belt and really it's challenging three years and takes dedication and perseverance every step of the way to reach. In the end it's just saying I've mastered the basics and I'm still a student. Each belt you rank in has meaning and purpose to be patient develop passion or to develop your skill overtime. It's not about who's better it's about the ten thousandths kick you've thrown so you could develop mastery of self, skill, technique, power, timing and effectiveness. It didn't happen overnight and your just getting started this is your journey and you owe it to yourself to master yourself not just physically but emotionally and spiritually. Taekwondo is a science, a art, expression, tactics, focusing calmness and simply charity. Just a reminder if you haven't done so please sign up for the remind group so you can stay informed of the class if anyone has any questions or needs extra training please feel free to reach out to me. As a teacher I'm still learning how people are and what they need might not be what they truly need. You could take the short and easy road but it's the road of experience that's long and hard that no one else is walking that does the most good for a person in the long run. Great job last night we covered many kicks but most importantly the spirit man and how a true master tries to balance the body, soul, and spirit. Then before ending the night we covered meeting the true master Jesus Christ in our lives. We are having a temporary schedule change Tuesday 6pm to 8pm and Sunday 2pm to 4pm if you can make either class or both we'd love to have you beginner or advanced class as well. If anyone would like additional training please let me know and we'll arrange something. I wanted to recognize some of our younger students for their amazing high kicks also while we didn't cover poomse last night please be practicing at home it's the backbone of taekwondo. Hope everyone had a blessed weekend and as we move forward I would like to Confer with the class on temporary class time changes. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone Thursday and would like to congratulate all of our graduating students and their amazing academic achievements. Great class tonight I would like to reflect on how we can't control anything in life we can try but the only true thing is ourselves. We can control how we respond but also our actions speak louder then our words. I would like to encourage everyone to take Taekwondo more then just a hobby but a life style and practice the 5 tenets of taekwondo as well perfect the whole man: mind, body, spirit. Unfortunately not everything in life works out the way we want it but everything happens for a reason God has a plan for you. Have the right attitude, lead with action, and live with integrity.

Great class Tuesday hope to make Thursday great also. There will be no class next week please see Mr or Ms Hicks if the class would like to meet for practice. This class we talked about ingenuity and how it's more than techniques it's not engage in violence only as a last resort. ingenuity doesn't stop there it's what is needed in true self-defense and sparring because the two are unpredictable. We talked about making the techniques yours through repetition and ingenuity but keeping them simple because we don't want it to complicated we can't use it. Above all we discussed the two things we must be and practice integrity and courtesy or respect. Finally the last thing we discussed was self-control we can't control anything in life or even others but we can choose how we respond to it. God bless you I can't wait to see everyone tonight!!!

Happy Mother's day to all those amazing mom's at the Huntsville and Hayden location in and out of class. To all the students please don't let this opportunity pass you by to celebrate those wonderful Moms you have. We go through out life and we look for role models and we strive to be ourselves as much as those we admire all so much and we can even become someone's role model also. Do your best for yourself and others, strive for greatness, follow your dreams, set goals in your life, but don't forget that nurturing love from your mother's.

Good week back we've continued the topic of self-defense and hopefully you all are learning to respect what you've been learning and not miss use it. Also we covered L.A.J.A. everything comes together to make the technique and then we practice awesome power generation. Most importantly we talked about what is a legacy and we compared that to who we are. Are we someone we and our parents can be proud of? Are we leaving a legacy in the world or in someone? Ultimately my biggest thing if I can't teach you anything is to know Jesus and to hope and pray you establish a personal relationship with the true master.

Good job last night we covered the tenets of taekwondo, and learnt about true cleanliness. Last class we covered the the worlds of fighting class, tournament, and real life and not to confuse them with each other. Finally we were able to cover self defense and sparring the major differences. Good job on poomse I look forward to seeing everyone test on the 26th. No class the 28th tournament 29th - 30th final registration 27th. Finally no class may 17th - 19th. Hope everyone has a blessed weekend.
