PILAR & CLASSIC DANCE

• 12 Years Classic Ballet school – Anna Pavlovla Academy (Bogotá- Colombia)
Emphasis on French (Ȅcole Francais) and Royal Ballet Techniques
• Theatrical Performances: Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, and Cinderella, among others.
• Started her Ballet Studio at Hawthorn Woods Country Club in January 2012
Pilar enrolled in Classic Ballet school at the age of 5. Her love for classic and contemporary dance continued through college and into adult life. Pilar has 7+ years of experience teaching private and group Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary dance lessons at Lake Bluff- Park District and HWCC Ballet & Jazz studio. She considers Classical Ballet to be an art and a discipline that develops a sense of coordination, flexibility, creativity, grace, good posture, and body strength. “I instill in my students the practice of a dance routine to increase their sense of well- being allowing them to appreciate art and enjoy a healthy mind and body.”
