This is such a great message...on a couple different levels!
1. Don't assume!
2. Women can train hard!
3. Krav Maga is for everyone!
4. Any person, man or woman, that does what it takes to earn those bruises should NOT be triffled with...that's someone that has more grit than you can imagine. That's someone that has sacrificed a ton in order to train. A person with those particular bruises is not a victim, they are a conqueror.
People see what they know.
Bruises usually mean something is wrong. Your brain goes there fast. It is not stupidity. It is pattern recognition trying to protect you.
She reads them differently.
She walked into a social event with bruises on her arms. People noticed. Concern showed up. Some whispered. Questions formed about her choices, her life, her relationship.
Her man stood next to her and felt the shift. The eyes moved to him. He knew the story they told themselves.
It was the wrong one.
He supports her training. He backs her decision to become capable. He does not need her to be smaller to feel secure. He stands next to her while she builds herself.
Those marks come from work. From contact. From staying in when it gets uncomfortable and learning to function under pressure.
They will fade in a few days. What they represent will not.
Strength like this is built on purpose. Practice by practice.
