THE TEAM BEHIND THE COMPETITION

The junior firefighters may have been at the center of the action, but an incredible group of people worked behind the scenes to make the 2026 Alamance County Junior Firefighter Competition possible.

A very special shout-out goes to the Haw River Fire Department Auxiliary and Haw River Fire Department. From months of planning and preparation to setting up, coordinating events, serving meals, solving last-minute challenges, and cleaning up afterward, your time, effort, and dedication brought this competition to life. We are deeply grateful for everything you contributed before, during, and after the event. ❤️

To our judges: thank you for sharing your knowledge, experience, time, and encouragement with our juniors.

To our volunteers: thank you for arriving early, staying late, organizing materials, assisting with events, tracking scores, and stepping in wherever you were needed.

The 2026 Alamance County Junior Firefighter Competition brought together an outstanding group of young people ready to challenge themselves, support their teammates, and represent their departments with pride.

A huge thank you to Chick-fil-A Mebane for helping fuel our competitors, advisors, judges, and volunteers at the 2026 Alamance County Junior Firefighter Competition!

After racing through events like Quick Dress, Hose Advancement, Relay Race, and our all-new Rapid Response Challenges, everyone will get a chance to refuel with a delicious lunch before heading back out to the competition field.
