Montana State University-Northern women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Kendall McClure to join the Skylight program this fall. McClure is a 5’8” guard from Brentwood, California. She recently finished a two-year career at Los Medano College in Pittsburgh, California.

This season, McClure was an honorable mention All-State selection in the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A), and was a First Team All-Conference pick in the Bay Valley Conference. She averaged 15 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
In the Bay Valley Conference, McClure ranked third in total assists, fifth in three-point percentage, total points scored, assist-to-turnover ratio, free throw percentage, and total steals. She ranked sixth in total field goals, and seventh in points per game. She scored a season-high 30 points against Marin Community College.

Mouat said, “Kendall does a lot of things well. She has had an extremely productive two-year career at Los Medanos, and brings a lot to the table. Her numbers across the board are very good. She had a good visit here and we are looking forward to her progress as a Skylight.”
McClure is a graduate of Heritage High School in Brentwood, California. At Heritage, she was a four-year varsity player and team captain. Her teams won the Bay Valley All Athletic League Conference title in each of her four seasons. She was also named the Most Valuable Player of the Peyo Classic Tournament in Mira Monte, California.

Mouat added, “Kendall does a great job on the court and in the classroom. She’s a great addition to our university and basketball program.”

In the classroom, McClure carries a 3.6 grade point average and earned an Associate’s Degree with an emphasis on journalism. She plans on majoring in education at MSU-Northern. She is the daughter of Casey and Tiffany McClure.

Montana State University-Northern women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Jaynee Tanner to join the Skylight program in the fall. Tanner is a 6’1”forward from South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, Washington.

This season, Tanner averaged 19.8 points and 16.8 rebounds, earning Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Region MVP, First Team All-Region, and All-Defensive Team honors. She shot 45.4 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from the three-point line, and 83.5 percent from the free throw line. In the entire NWAC, she was second in rebounds per game, third in points per game, and fourth in free throw percentage. She also earned NWAC Player of the Week honors twice this season.

As a freshman, she averaged 14.1 points and 12.2 rebounds per game, earning NWAC West Region Freshman of the Year First Team All-Conference in the West Region, and West Region All-Defensive Team honors. She ranked third in the NWAC in free throw percentage (83.2), third in field goal percentage (54.5), and third in rebounds per game (12.2).

Mouat said, “We are thrilled to have Jaynee on board and she is a very big sign for us. She is an excellent player and a high-character, quality person and student. She has had two great years playing for Coach Vining at South Puget Sound, and we are really looking forward to her progress in a Skylight uniform.”

Mouat continued, “Jaynee is excellent on the boards at both ends and defends well in the post. She can score inside and can stretch defenses with her ability to knock down the three-point shot with good percentages. She is also unselfish and will fit into our system very well.”
Tanner is a 2024 graduate of Maple Mountain High School in Spanish Fork, Utah. During her career at Maple Mountain, she was a three-time All-State selection.

Mouat added, “Jaynee has done some exceptional things on the court, but is also very active in her community and on campus. She will be an immediate, great addition to the Northern family. She had a great visit here and connected very well with our staff and players, and we couldn’t be happier to be getting such a well-rounded student-athlete.”

In the community, Jaynee was a peer mentor for the South Puget Sound CC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Center and a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee for two years (serving as co-president her sophomore season).

Tanner has already earned her Direct Transfer Associates degree and carries a 3.74 grade point average. She will major in Integrated Health Science at MSU-Northern. Her parents are Jill Schriever, Pat Bohn, and Trent Tanner.

Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach has announced the signing of Neva Jacobson to join the Skylights next fall. Jacobson, a 5'9" guard from Malta, recently helped the M'Ettes to a runner-up finish at the 2026 Class B State Tournament.

This season, Jacobson averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals per game. She scored a season-high 33 points against Glasgow and finished her career with over 1000 points. She shot 72% from the free throw line, 49% from the field, and 30% from the 3-point line. She finished third all-time in steals (313) and fourth in 3-point field goals made (117) at Malta.

Mouat said, "We are really excited to add Neva to the Skylight program. She is a really well-rounded student-athlete who has been successful in all that she does. She is a proven winner and is extremely competitive. We really like how hard she plays and the level of competitiveness she brings. She is a tough-minded defender with active hands and comes up with a lot of steals and deflections."

During her four years at Malta, the M'Ettes qualified for the state tournament every year. Jacobson earned both All-Conference and All-State honors for each of the past three seasons.

Mouat added, "Neva is also a good offensive player. She can score at all three levels and shoots with good percentages. We are really looking forward to her progress in a Skylight uniform."

Jacobson has been a multi-sport standout at Malta. She has been a state qualifier in track and field, and was the district champion in the 100 meter hurdles in 2025. She also qualified for the state cross country meet in 2025, her first season participating in the sport.

In the classroom, Jacobson has also been outstanding. She carries a 4.01 grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society. She has earned Academic All-State honors a combined twelve times. She has been a member of the pep band and honor band, the Key Club, ReACT Prevention Group, and FCCLA.

Neva is the daughter of Katy Anderson and Gary Jacobson. She plans on majoring in Integrated Health Science at MSU-Northern.

Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach has announced the signing of Allison Kunze to join the Skylight program in the fall.

Kunze, a 5-foot-11 forward from Malta, previously played two years at Williston State College and spent this past year at Montana State-Billings.

Mouat said, "We are really excited about Allison. She had two great years at Williston State and we really tried to get her after her sophomore season. She also played on a very good MSU-Billings team this season."

This past season, Kunze shot 58 percent from the field while starting in 4 games for the Yellowjackets. She averaged 6.8 points per game and got to the free throw line 93 times. She scored a season-high 24 points against Minot State University.

At Williston State, Kunze scored 930 points in two seasons, good for 15 points per game. She also grabbed 499 rebounds for an average of 8.0 per game. During her three collegiate seasons, she has scored over 1000 total points.

Mouat added, “Allison is a great addition to our program. She plays much bigger than she is and is very comfortable playing around the rim. She is a quick jumper and very aggressive rebounder. She can defend much bigger players and really runs the floor in transition. We are looking forward to her progress in a Skylight uniform.”

Kunze was a three-time all-state selection at Malta High School. She will join former Malta teammate Maddie Williamson at MSU-Northern.

Kunze is the daughter of Mark and Lisa Kunze and plans on majoring in Health and Physical Education.
