RESTAURANT REVIEW GROUP

Hello All,
Would you like to meet new friends and try new restaurants? Life at the Rock is looking for residents to join the restaurant review group. You get to enjoy fine food and wonderful company for just a minimal cost. (tips range from $10 per person to $15 to $20 per couple depending on the menu prices -free appetizer, entree, and dessert) All they ask is that you write some comments about the food, atmosphere, and service. Your picture and comments will be shown in the magazine.

Mindfulness Meditation: An Introductory Workshop

Did you know?

According to Harvard neuroscientists, meditation not only reduces stress, it changes your brain.
Meditation and yoga could be more effective and last longer than the usual care for back pain.
Findings of Georgetown University research shows that Mindfulness Meditation can improve resilience to stress.There are over 1600 apps devoted to Mindfulness and Meditation.

If you've been hearing and reading about the benefits of Mindful Meditation, here is your chance to try it out for yourself.

Daphne Lee, Psy D, retired psychotherapist, mediator and Bulle Rock resident will be presenting on this topic for our Speakers' Bureau on Wednesday, March 29th at 6:30 pm.

Greetings Bulle Rock Residents,

Within the next few months, approximately 200 soldiers from the Maryland National Guard 29th Infantry will be deployed overseas.
Havre de Grace Middle School is working with the VFW to assemble care packages for these troops.
Needed items include candy, snacks and other non-perishable foods, reading material, games, playing cards, wipes and toiletries. Boxes (about the size of shoe boxes) are also needed.
If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause, there will be a box outside the Events Office at the Residents' Club.

RESIDENTS
MONDAY MOVIE MADNESS

Kick off meeting : Monday evening

THE PLOT: Bulle Rock Residents meet at the Residents' Club on Monday nights to watch classic movies in the company of their friends and neighbors.

A PLOT TWIST: Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks.

THE PLAYBILL: Older movies on demand or in the library. Movies you may have seen before and want to see
again. Movies that you might have missed seeing or didn't know that you always wanted to
see.

ACTION: Participants will decide on themes for every month. Possible themes might be- genre, such as
comedy, drama, romance, action/adventure, documentary or science fiction, movies by decade,
movies featuring a specific actor or actress, holiday theme, etc.

TIMING: Kick-off meeting will be this Monday, February 27th at 6:45 pm in the card room. The first movie is Cat Ballou, a rollicking comedy/western from 1965 featuring Lee Marvin's Best Actor Oscar winning role.

I don't know about any of our Residents but I love my AARP Magazine & Newsletter. My "younger Husband" wasn't happy until he used it for his first discount. HA!
