An update on my Godson Corey Corey Henehan
Corey’s Road to Recovery: A Major Milestone
September 5th was the day Corey’s life changed completely. The road since then has been grueling and emotional for everyone who loves him, but today we finally have a massive reason to celebrate.
Corey’s surgery went incredibly well! 🤍
The surgeons have successfully completed his cranioplasty, which was one of the final major hurdles his body needed to clear. His brain now has its physical protection back, and his body can focus on the next steps in his recovery. With this milestone behind him, although Corey may look great on the outside he still has a hard long road of recovery ahead. Our nexts steps are getting Corey back to hisself and begin working with a Neurological rehabilitation facility to begin the hard, necessary work of rebuilding and healing.
Corey has spent his life dropping everything to lend a hand to others. During this incredibly difficult time, our community has completely wrapped its arms around him and his family in return. The overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and support has brought immense comfort and strength during some of the darkest days of their lives. Seeing just how deeply Corey is loved is a beautiful reminder of the impact he has had on so many people.
As Corey prepares for this next intensive chapter of specialized care and rehabilitation, many of you have asked how you can continue to donate or help support him. A dedicated benefit fund has been established at the bank, completely separate from any personal accounts.
🏦 Options to Donate (100% Direct to Corey’s Fund):
