🚗 HEADS UP HAVERHILL COMMUTERS! 🚧
Starting in mid-September, MassDOT will begin work on the first phase of the Basiliere Bridge demolition. Here is what you need to know for your daily drive:
1️⃣ 1 Lane Each Way: Traffic will be split into single northbound and southbound lanes.
2️⃣ No Left Turn onto Merrimack St: To prevent traffic backups, left turns off the bridge onto Merrimack Street will be banned. Follow detours via Bailey Blvd & Emerson St.
3️⃣ Pedestrian Impact: The upstream (western) sidewalk will be closed.
Exact start dates will be announced shortly as barriers are set up. Tag a friend or coworker who drives over the bridge so they can plan their routes!
