Here is an interesting thought...a lot of people don't like to exercise, or know they should (and they physically can) but for some reason....(and believe me, I have heard them ALL)...but picture for a moment...the opposite....with an acute broken foot and chronic low back pain for past 30 years (and just had a nerve ablasion to the facet joints also this week!) I have not been able to do ANY cardio activity (not even pool walking) since before May 7th. With my family history of diabetes and me always trying to keep my weight and blood sugar in control with exercise....now for the past 6 weeks....cant.....Sure, i can focus on diet, and do weights that keep my foot off the floor, but being so sedentary, sitting and lying down so much to be off that broken bone makes me wonder in amazement why people who are physically able don't get up and MOVE! I have been feeling awful....stiff, achy, sluggish, fatigued.....I cannot imagine living like this daily as so many who do not move much other than their daily tasks of living,...I see how the "other side" lives...and it AINT me!!!! For those of us who have health/orthopedic chronic challenges, I can understand the frustration and limitation we have to face....but for those that don't and simply are "too lazy" to do it? Can we please switch places right now??? Being forced to be still is pure torture, for a healthy life always in motion.....though its teaching me patience for my body, what on earth is it doing for those who know what they should be doing (knowledge is NOT power, only when you USE that knowledge and ACT on it does it give you true power!) and they just don't? Self motivation and discipline....if I could inject it into those who need it, I could change the world!!!! As for myself right now struggling with frustration and impatience (especially during my favorite time of year when i love to be out walking, in the water, hiking etc) I know, and i mean I KNOW.....that I am making a comeback the 2nd half of 2019........why? because I SAID SO!!!! Who else is with me??? Declare this year to be YOUR year....and never give up!!!!!
