Another W last weekend against St. Joes (3/30). It was a great game that ended 36-25 in favor of your favorite Newts. The game was under the lights at St. Joes own stadium, and it was great to start the season off against a good team and to still come out on top. The Newts came out a little flat, and had a lot of rust to knock off, falling behind to as much as 15-7 at one point, but they rallied back and put up 6 tries from: Matt Jablonski x2, Andrew Zolensky x2, Drew Evans, and AJ Barry.

Now we are looking forward to a match at Gettysburg College (1:00, 4/6). To those hoping to get a chance to watch the Newts our first home game is the following weekend: vs. Widener University 4/13 on Lower Featherbed! Come out and support your Newts!

A few updates for those not in the know about the last few months of AYN Rugby happenings: The team finished off another fall season undefeated and took home the club's second consecutive MARC Silver Tier championship! The club defeated Gettysburg University 31-12 with another hat-trick from captain Matt Jablonski '19. The conference championship was a rematch against DeSales University, a messy, muddy dogfight that Haverford came out on top of 22-0 with tries from Matt Jablonski '19, Dan Spar '20, Travis Grant '20, and Andrew Zolensky '22! For more info about the rest of our fall season, you can check out our page from the MARC Rugby website: https://www.marc-rugby.org/page/show/4305896-haverford

Through 2 weeks the Angry Young Newts maintain their undefeated streak (x11) with a hard fought victory over DeSales University (40-10). All 6 tries on the day were scored by a strong forwards-focused run game with Captain Matt Jablonski leading the way with his first ever hat trick! Our first home game of the season will be next week against Rowan University (C). Come out next Saturday and support us to see if we can
