“Loving you is easy” would be FAR from the truth. Loving you is hard. The frequent distance, the military, our lives changing again and again, up and down. I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s all worth it. My home is with you and where ever you are. I wouldn’t trade a minute. So yeah, thanks for being born. I am starting a challenge group on Labor Day that will keep us all accountable with nutrition and fitness for the next two months! Posts will be published DAILY by myself and two other coaches running the group with me. Full of recipe ideas, workout inspiration, and positive vibes!!! It does not matter what program you are on or whatever exercises you perform.

PLEASE... Go on and love on yourself a bit. The world is so full of hate, doubt, negativity... start by loving YOU. Let me tell you this, because I’ve been there: you can get to your “goal weight” or fit into those jeans you’ve wanted to for years, which are all amazing achievements! But do you love yourself? Part of the fitness journey is discovering about yourself. Can you still have a glass of wine with the people you love? Do you allow yourself to celebrate occasions and have a night out on the town? If not, then it’s not sustainable. It’s not making you MENTALLY healthier.

Finding the balance is hard. Thankfully I have a nutrition system I get to plug back into every single day and allows me to get all the nutrition my body needs while feeling my absolute BEST. I can honestly say I love myself and I love this imperfect body. Because it is imperfectly mine

Saturday workouts, because dreams don’t take a break on the weekends.

One thing they don’t tell you about fitness: whether your grinding it out in the gym or taking it out on the track, is KNOWING YOUR BODY. It took me 12 years to finally listen to my body. Don’t make my mistake, don’t let it take you that long. Now I know my body so well, and I continuously discover what works for me and what does not.

Smiling through the soreness! Today I am sore. I am sore, not exhausted. I am strong, so I will workout through the soreness. Thursday I was exhausted. That is when I listened to my body and switched my routine up. For three weeks in a row I could not get it together for my Thursday workout. That is when I shuffled my days around and realized I need a light day on Thursday opposed to Saturday. When your body tells you something, LISTEN!

Fitness is not a “One Size Fits All” kind of thing. Do what feels right to you and stay true to yourself. If you’re a weight lifting-runner-yogi or a MMA fighter-cycling-rock climber or a Zumba enthusiast, then you are and that’s awesome. What matters is that you do something for yourself once a day, every day. It’s more then looking good, it’s taking care of your body, mind, and soul.

Why do you do this? Why do you grind it out every day when you could easily skate by and stay home? Why do you hit the weights, the road, the track, the field, the bike, the mat? Why do you do it? Who do you do it for?

I knew I wanted to do it to change lives, to help people. But there’s more than that... I want to show people you don’t have to live with depression, stress, riddled with anxiety, struggling with ADHD, poor body image, terrible self esteem, an unhealthy relationship with food, eating disorders. That in return ruins our day. Ruins our relationships. Ruins our health.

It doesn’t have to be that way. I know. I’ve been there. I WAS HER. I am not her anymore. I was a child without a clue, and now I am a woman with the knowledge and the tools to change lives. Change my own life. You create the life you want to live. Nothing is handed to you. Stop waiting for the quick fix. It doesn’t exist. Work for the life you want.

Happy Monday! Weekend-style breakfast doesn’t have to be only for the weekend! Wake up 30 minutes earlier and SIT DOWN to eat breakfast. You might find it puts you in a better state of mind to tackle your day.

Disconnect when you’re eating your breakfast, I know that can be hard but you most likely have a full day ahead of you with obligations. Setting aside a little time for you each day is so important.
