Join us Friday, February 20th for the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as we proudly honor Coach J*p Gullatt as the next inductee into the Basketball Hall of Fame at Haughton High School.

Head Coach from 1958–1964, Coach Gullatt built a powerhouse program with an incredible 141–72 record. His leadership carried beyond athletics as he later served as Superintendent of Bossier Parish Schools from 1984–1988 — continuing to shape the future of our community.

Tonight! The Bucs have their Season Finale and celebrate the 2026 Hall of Fame Class with their induction at half time. The Bucs play at 6 against North Webster in Haughton- AND every kid wearing their BPAR or Middle School basketball jersey gets in for FREE! Go Bucs!

I’ve got to brag on our Bucs for a second.

We were missing seven players tonight—most out with the flu—for our matchup against Captain Shreve. But the few who suited up, this “Band of Brothers,” never used that as an excuse. The Bucs led after the first quarter and were only down three at halftime before a buzzer be**er.

Tonight this team showed the definition of GRIT, and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

Your Bucs had a HUGE win last night over Mansfield. Hayden Lippolis hit a clutch 3-pointer to tie the game, and James Alexander made a buzzer beating layup to win 62-60.

The Bucs will be back in action this Friday at home against Minden at 7pm. This will be Senior Night and we will recognize our Seniors- Braylon McHenry, D'Merrion Gladney and Joshua Marshall- before the game.

The basketball season is in full swing, with our Freshman, JV, and Varsity squads all competing. Some weeks we’re playing up to seven games across all three teams, so our guys are getting plenty of valuable reps.
