The time is here. I repeat, THE TIME IS HERE! Louisana's first ever Girls State Tournament starts tomorrow morning. Numbers show, 200 girls will take the mats, to show our state we belong in this sport. I will put my wrestling shoes on one last time for my high school. Bitter sweet. I've pushed for this, I've dreamed of this, but I will miss it so much. Win or learn tomorrow, WE DID IT! Lets go girls. 💪

With only a few more tournaments left, we will wrap up our first ever sanctioned girls wrestling season. With the season coming to a close, Louisiana Girls will make history at the most important tournament ever in our state. Not only will I be able to attend a sanctioned state tournament before I graduate, I get to compete in my home town. What an honor. Need plans for Valentine's Day weekend? Come watch as we leave it all on the mats.

Remember when I said if Louisiana rolled out the red carpet for girls to wrestle, they will come? Well, these girls are ready to show you the talent they offer in our state. As we head into this Inaugural Historic Season, I want to warn you, these fierce female wrestlers, are about to make a lot of noise. Hydration numbers are coming in, with over 250 girls signed up to wrestle so far. We could see a 300 number as we continue to climb. This is unreal. It's almost that time to leave it all on the mats.

I had the honor of attending the Wrestle Like A Girl Glitter into Gold Gala Friday night. I made a quick trip to Washington, DC to meet up with my date and good friend Peter. We had an amazing night. We got to meet some of the most humbled and talented women athletes in this sport. Not to mention Olympic Champions. Wrestling came into my life at the right moment when I needed it the most. Dreams do come true if you have the drive to make them a reality. 🥹

Haughton High School became my new home a few years ago . From day one, I have been supported and pushed to become the student athlete I am today. When I saw a need for Girls Sanctioning, my coaches and staff allowed me to do what I needed no matter what. Here I am, starting my last wrestling season with my head held high, as I know this will be such a historic year. Looks like I will be leaving my mark, literally, on the wall of Haughton High. 🥹 Go Bucs!

It's official. I'm heading to Denton, Texas next year to wrestle for an amazing Division II program. Led by some of the most fierce coaches around. 💪 TWU just felt like home. The coaches and current wrestlers have been so supportive. Crazy to think a young girl from Haughton, Louisiana will get to wrestle in college. 🥹 But first, time to have the best season of my high school career. Louisiana is sanctioned! I'm going from a Buccaneer to a Pioneer. Pretty fitting right? Thanks for all your continued support.

Well, here we are. My last year of high school wrestling is about to start. What an amazing ride. From walking through the wrestling room door at Haughton High looking up at Coach O while he says, "So you are the one", to an injury that took me out pretty much my whole junior season. I AM READY for this last chapter. I have put in the work for months since being cleared. We have a packed season schedule and I am Captain of the first ever female team, how cool is that? We also have some of the best coaches around. Everything is in place for a dominating ending for myself and an awesome beginning for so many others. My team needs your help one last time. With the addition to girls wrestling and so many girls joining, we will have more expenses needed to help us succeed. Girls will have their own weight class sponsorships. If you would like to sponsor 1 of the 12 weight classes, please reach out. Each weight class sponsorship is $200. This will allow the team to travel to more competitive areas and host some of the best female wrestlers surrounding us. I will be more than happy to stop and show you everything we have planned and what comes with your sponsorship. Come celebrate with us as we see all our hard work paid off.
