Hatfield Rec would like to welcome back Kellie Bryant as our Summer Recreation Program Director for 2026. Kellie has worked for HES and the Summer Program for many years. She runs a great program, has lots of activities and fun things planned for the kids, and we appreciate her dedication to this program.

We are extending registration to April 17th.

We will be posting shortly an Assistant position.

Hatfield Recreation is still looking for a few more signups for 3/4 softball. This is open to any 2nd, 3rd or 4th grader that is interested in playing softball. If your child is interested please go to the link below and register your child, registration closes tomorrow April 1st.

Spring sports registration closes today, late fees will be attached for any further registration between tomorrow and April 1st and then there will be no ability to register after April 1st.

Once again, we do not have enough players to make a 5/6 baseball or softball team, currently there are only 2 players registered to each team. If your child wants to play or you know someone from out of town that wants to play please reach out.

3/4 baseball has only 8 players registered and does have a coach (more players needed)

3/4 softball currently only has 6 players registered and does have coaches ( more players needed)

1/2 has a 21 players and will have 2 teams and we have plenty of coaches

Pre-k/K has 22 players registered

Again, if your child wants to play please get your registration in.

Children who will be 4 yrs old by August 31, 2026 are able to signup for Pre-K/K t-ball.

Please be aware, registration deadline is March 24, at 9 PM. We will then keep registration open until April 1st at 9 PM, however, there will be a late fee attached to registrations submitted after 3/24. After April 1st, there will be no late registrations accepted and this is not an April Fools joke 🤗

We need time to be able to figure out how many teams we have, make sure coaches are assigned to their teams, and also get jerseys ordered, and we will not be sending short notice to One-way Printing for jerseys for any more sports seasons. It's not fair to them and their great business.

WELCOME TO THE SUMMER PROGRAM REGISTRATION!

Welcome To our Hatfield 2026 Summer Program!
This year we are running our Summer Program for 8 weeks!
Our First week will start June 22nd, 2026
Our Final Week will start August 10th, 2026

Registration deadline is April 1st. Registration will remain open through May 1st with a late fee attached of 15%.

Our program is for children ENTERING 1st grade through current 6th Grade ONLY!

Each Week will have a different Theme. Kellie Bryant our Director and the Rec Committee are working hard to have special events each week as well.

Each Child will need to bring a backpack with spare clothes, bathing suit, towel, sun-tan lotion, snack, lunch and a filled waterbottled.

Summer program location is at the Pavilion behind Hatfield Elementary School.

Full-Day Week: Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. Cost: $165 per child

Half-Day Week: 8:30 am - 11:30 am. Payment is for all 5 days only. Cost: $100 per child

Three-Day Week: 8:30am - 2:30pm. Three pre-determined full days per week: Cost: $100 per child

I am reaching out to share an exciting upcoming event for your girls youth basketball teams.

We’ve got a big afternoon coming up at the Mullins Center, and we’d love to have your team be a part of it!
On Saturday, Feb. 14th, UMass Women's Basketball takes on Miami (OH) at 1:00 PM for our annual Play4Kay game. It’s always an incredible atmosphere dedicated to a great cause—but the excitement doesn’t stop at the final buzzer.
Following the game, the team is hosting a post-game youth clinic for all fans ages 12 and under! It’s a fantastic chance for the kids to get on the court, learn some skills, and meet the players. The best part? A game ticket is all they need to participate.

Hatfield Recreation is not sure where the rumor mill has started from or why it has started, but it is NOT true that there will not be Summer Rec this year. We have a meeting next Wednesday night at 7pm, we have a few parents who have stepped up and joined the committee so we now have a full committee again and Summer Rec is one of the agenda topics for Wednesday's meeting.

Sorry to those that have thought it was not going to be happening, if those details are not coming directly from a current member, then please reach out to us before believing rumors, we will have details out as soon as possible for parents to plan.
