What an incredible showing for Hastings Track & Field! 🏆
Both the boys and girls teams finished on the podium, each taking 3rd place overall. Hastings was the only school in the state to have both its boys and girls teams finish in the top three.
The Raiders had six individuals finish in the top four in their events and, collectively, set FOUR all-class/all-time state records.
Congratulations to our individual state champions, both repeat back-to-back champions:
🥇 Sebastian Strauss – 400M State Champion and new Minnesota all-time state record holder
🥇 Lane Hoffman – 200M State Champion
Congratulations also to our three state champion relay teams, each setting a new all-time state record:
🥇 Boys 4x200 – Gunnar Hanstad, Zach Shatek, Sebastian Strauss, Lane Hoffman
🥇 Boys 4x400 – Matthew Jelks, Lane Hoffman, Gunnar Hanstad, Sebastian Strauss
🥇 Girls 4x200 – Kaylin Jelks, Olyvia Erickson, Jersey Appert, Ellie Magnus
Additional top-four finishes included:
⭐ Mya Bauer – High Jump, 3rd place
⭐ Olyvia Erickson – 400M, 3rd place
⭐ Ellie Magnus – 100M, 2nd place; 200M, 4th place
⭐ Gunnar Hanstad – 400M, 3rd place
