Friday, we were back at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ for another night racing JR 2 and JR 3. Grandpa Scott Adams was here to watch!

JR 2: The streak finally came to an end. I started 2nd in the heat and got out to a dominating 1st place win! In the feature, I started outside pole but just couldn’t get by the fast #54, and finished 2nd on the podium. Congrats to Colby Lane Racing for bringing home the win! Heartbreaking to end the streak, but it’s just more motivation to come back better next time!
JR 3: Back in the ole yellow M&Ms kart. Just didn’t have the speed Friday night, but still managed to pull out a solid 3rd place finish.

Saturday: Thanks to Paul Crafton, I got to hot lap the PC Motorworks #57 JR 3 (flyin’ around the track again!) and raced my JR 2 heat, where I went from 4th to 1st! Bad weather and a blown transformer ended the night early.

šŸŽļø Official start of the KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ race season this weekend! Had trouble with our JR 2 motor so had to borrow a backup from the Zelazny crew (huge THANK YOU!) Despite the motor change, this kart was still rocket fast.

Friday
JR 2: Finished 2nd in the heat then had another win in the feature!
JR 3: The kart wasn’t as great. There were only 4 of us and I finished 4th in both the heat and the feature. We'll make some adjustments and get back in it next time.

Saturday
Thanks Shane Ellis and Isla for coming out to watch despite the rain!
JR 2: Added to my streak — bringing home my 11th straight JR 2 win! šŸ”„
JR 3: I had the cool opportunity to race the PC Motorworks Charger Racing Outlaw Kart. This kart is FAST and so easy to drive — it handles amazing. I put down some serious fast laps all night and took home another 1st place in JR 3! Thanks again PC Motorworks!!

šŸŽļø Cold weather didn’t stop us at the Short Track Shootout at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~! We brought home two wins! šŸ†

JR 2:
Heat 1: Started 2nd, finished 1st
Heat 2: Started 4th, finished 2nd
Feature: Started 2nd and took the win! The kart was crazy fast.

JR 3:
Heat 1: Started 2nd, finished 3rd while figuring out the track and setup
Heat 2: Started 4th, finished 1st after Dad got the setup dialed in and some unlucky DNFs for my friends in the 57 and 12T
Feature: Started on pole and won! Bennett in the 57 Taco Casa kart was fast and coming strong, but I managed to hold him off for the win.

I led every lap in both the JR 2 and JR 3 features! That makes 8 feature wins in a row in JR 2 and hopefully the start of a new streak in JR 3! šŸ”„

Proud of the eagle trophies — they’re really cool! šŸ¦…

I raced JR 2 and JR 3 at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ on Saturday, and it turned into an awesome night!

For JR 3, I had a great draw and started on the pole for the heat. For JR 2, I didn’t draw as well and had to start 7th in the heat.

JR 2 Heat: Started 7th and drove up to 2nd.
JR 3 Heat: Started on the pole and held on to win with a super fast Grayson White right behind me.

Those finishes put me on the pole for both JR 2 and JR 3 features.

JR 2 Feature: I led every lap, caught lap traffic, but kept it smooth to bring home 1st, keeping my streak alive at 7 feature wins!

JR 3 Feature: I got a great first start, but a caution on lap one brought out a restart. On the restart, Grayson got by me and I fell back to 2nd. We pulled away from the rest of the field—he was flying. When we got to lap traffic, Grayson had contact with a lapped kart, which put me back in the lead. We finished it off with a green–white–checkered and I got my first win in JR 3!

After the races we ran a King of the Hill, and I won an awesome trophy! It was a great night, and I can’t wait for the official start of race season in a few weeks. We’re going to keep making the kart better and try to keep this winning streak going.

Special thanks to my dad, Mark Adams, for all his hard work getting the go karts ready and in winning condition. Happy birthday to him today, too! And a big thanks to Mike, Shane, and Isla for coming out to watch and cheer me on.

Big news before the race recap: I officially earned 3rd place overall in points for the season in JR 2! I’m proud of that trophy, but we aren't slowing down!

This past weekend I also debuted my brand new kart for the JR 3 class. Here is how it went:

JR 2 – Things started off a little stressful because I almost missed the heat race! Even with the rush, I started outside pole and jumped straight to 1st, leading the whole field by a straightaway. I won the heat, started the feature on the pole, and led every lap to take the win! That makes 6 FEATURE WINS IN A ROW for JR 2! šŸ„‡šŸ„‡šŸ„‡šŸ„‡šŸ„‡šŸ„‡

JR 3 – We have some figuring out to do with the new kart. I started outside pole in the heat but dropped back to 3rd. In the feature, I started 6th but ended up with a DNF because of some issues with the cage clearance. We’re going to make some changes and come back even faster in January!

After rain cancelled last week’s races, we came back for a double header Saturday, November 1, going for 5 wins in a row!

First Heat: Started 7th and made it up to 3rd.
First Feature: Started on pole and took the win! šŸ†

Second Heat: Started 5th and worked my way to 1st.
Second Feature: Started on pole again and brought home another win! šŸ™Œ

So proud to get both wins with Grandpa there to see it!

That wraps up my season: 20 features, 5 wins, 14 top 5s, and 20 top 10s!

Can’t wait to keep this momentum rolling into next season!

We went for win #3 in a row this weekend — and got it!

Heat: Started on pole and held off some fierce pressure from the 8W to take the win!
Feature: Started outside pole and got it done again — another win!

The track was fast, the kart was fast, and it was an awesome night of racing! šŸ”„šŸ’Ø

šŸ Race Weekend Update šŸ

This weekend was my first time out in my new kart with the fresh wrap and it was awesome.

Friday Night:
Started 3rd in the heat and made a big 3-wide move under a lapper to take the lead.

Took the win and earned a front row spot for the feature… but then rain came and shut us down. Feature got moved to Saturday.

Saturday = Double Header Day!
First feature: started P1 next to Bennett, and we finished 1-2 just like we lined up. The Taco Casa karts were āš”ļøfast!

Second round: started 4th in the heat, pulled out to a big lead and put it on the pole for the feature. But then… bad luck. Got taken out by 2nd place while leading, went to the back, but battled back for 4th.

This kart can win races — the speed was there all weekend. Not the finish we wanted for the final race, but we showed what’s possible. Fast kart, big moves, and more wins coming. This new ride is awesome 🤩 and I can’t wait to drive it again!

I'm finally recovering from a weekend full of racing! It was fantastic to have my grandpa come down and help out—it made everything even more special. On Friday and Saturday, we spent our time at KAM Kartway driving the dirt kart. I started 5th in the heat and managed to work my way up to 3rd. I had a similar experience in the feature where I again started 5th and was thrilled to finish on the podium in 3rd place after missing and surviving some wild flips and crashes!

We were feeling pretty good going into Saturday’s races, starting 3rd in the heat and finishing 2nd. But then we missed the setup after the track got watered during intermission. Contact with other karts gave us a DNF when we somehow lost the pull starter—definitely a bummer of a finish.

Then on Sunday, we headed over to NTK for some road course racing, which was tough to say the least. I struggled with a lot of spins and chain issues. I really need to get more laps in, but I'm looking forward to getting back out there again next weekend!

Video of my Friday night KAM Feature in the comments!

Hey everyone! I totally forgot to share an update after the last race weekend. We’ve been away from the track for a bit, but during our break, we decided to move up to JR2. The best part? My grandparents were there to cheer us on!

Friday Night: Mom drew a tough number, so we started from the back in the heat race but managed to move up one spot, which landed us in 8th for the feature. We made some adjustments to the kart, but it was clear I still needed to shake off some rust after the break. We ended up finishing 8th.

Saturday Night: Once again, another tough draw from mom put us at the back for the heat race, and we moved up one spot again—starting 8th for the feature once more. This time, with some great coaching from the crew and tweaks to the setup, the kart felt much better. We snagged a top 4 finish! We were aiming for the top 3 but unfortunately got bumped into the wall mid-race.

I can’t wait to get back to the track this Friday and keep that momentum going!
