Harveys Lake Rod & Gun Club

Harveys Lake Rod & Gun Club Private Club Membership is required. Visit our our website hlragc.org to learn more about us. The club was founded by Herman Kerns on February 27, 1947.

The Harveys Lake Rod & Gun Club is located at 18 Middle Lane, Harveys Lake PA 18618. The purpose of the club is promote firearm safety, respect and responsibility toward fi****ms and the shooting sports; support firearm collectors, firearm enthusiasts, hunters and shooters; assist fish, game, forestry and conservation authorities; work toward and encourage legislation determined to be in the interests of the club; promote respect, cooperation and friendship between landowners and sportsmen; protect the welfare of sportsmen and conservationists; provide educational and service programs encouraging the betterment of the shooting sports and for those interested in the shooting sports; and to provide educational programs for the benefit of responsible youth in firearm safety as well as respect and responsibility toward fi****ms and the shooting sports. The club consists of the following facilities built on 27.5 acres: a club house, 2 storage buildings, a pistol range, a rifle range, a shotgun patterning range and a trap range with trap house. The pistol range has three pistol shooting distances set at 5, 12.5 and 25 yards. The rifle range has five shooting distances set at 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 yards. Both the pistol and rifle ranges have roof covered shooting stations and backer boards down range for hanging paper targets. A separate shotgun patterning range has two shooting distances set at 30 and 40 yards with a bench and target backers in place. The trap range is set up for both standard and handicap shooting distances with voice activated bird release. The club also has a black powder woods walk course that is used during scheduled black powder shoots. The club conducts the following shoots: monthly handgun shoot, hi power (hunting) rifle shoot & muzzle loader shoot, weekly trap shoots and a yearly memorial trap shoot with all proceeds donated to a local cancer treatment center. It’s done! The Pistol and Short-Range project has been completed. The range will reopen for all activities starting Thursday, 9/17/26.

Thank you to all our members for your patience and understanding during the replacement of the Pistol and Short-Range covers. The old covers were estimated to be more than 50 years old and were beyond repair.

A few finishing touches will be completed in the spring, including new wooden shooting benches. If you have a design you prefer, please let us know! We will also be adding more seating benches and gun racks.

The success of fundraisers like the Sportsmans Raffle makes projects like these possible. Once again, thank you to all the members who support our Club fundraisers.

The 19th Annual Marty Cirelli, Sr. Memorial Bacon Trap Shoot will be held on September 13, 2026, at the Harveys Lake Rod & Gun Club, 18 Middle Lane, Harveys Lake, PA 18618. This is a rain-or-shine event, with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the shoot beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Proceeds from the shoot will benefit the Kingston Medical Oncology Prescription Fund. This fund assists cancer patients in obtaining costly prescription medications.

This event was established in 2007 by Carmen Fusco, a club member, to honor the memory of one of his best friends, Marty Cirelli, Sr. Marty was a longtime member, director, and treasurer of the Harveys Lake Rod & Gun Club. He was a strong supporter of rebuilding the Trap Range but lost his battle with pancreatic cancer before the project was completed.

The event will consist of 12 Bird Rounds at six stations, with two birds per station at 22 yards, as well as Buddy Shoots. Winners will receive a four-pound package of bacon. There will also be rounds of 50/50 Cut-Throat.

This year’s event will also include seven basket raffles, with basket values ranging from $100 to $250.

The Down Range Safety Alert System has been reinstalled. Please begin using it again.

Saturday September 12, 2026, starting at 9:00 am is our final Workday of the year. In the event of bad weather, you can call the Clubhouse at 570-639-1220 starting at 8:00 am to check whether the Workday is postponed or still on schedule. Members assigned a Workday must either attend the assigned Workday, send a Member to take their place, pay a $75.00 assessment by the conclusion of the monthly meeting immediately following the Workday or face termination of their membership. Unfortunately, guest are not permitted to participate in Workday sessions. The range will be closed until the Workday is completed. Some of the projects we will be working on include, finishing landscaping around the new Pistol and Short Range Covers (please bring bow rakes), repairing backers, w**d trimming (if you have your own w**d trimmer feel free to bring it) trimming brush, raking wads on trap range, spraying w**d killer, power washing , painting etc.… Please wear appropriate clothing.

The 19th Annual Marty Cirelli, Sr. Memorial Bacon Trap Shoot will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Harveys Lake Rod & Gun Club, 18 Middle Lane, Harveys Lake, PA 18618.

This is a rain-or-shine event and is open to the public. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., and the shoot begins at 10:00 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the Kingston Medical Oncology Prescription Fund. Food will be available for purchase.

A few changes this year include upgrading the prize from a one-pound package of bacon to a four-pound package of bacon. In addition, we are adding basket raffles with a retail value of up to $250.

This event was first created in 2007 by Carmen Fusco, a club member, to honor the memory of one of his best friends, Marty Cirelli, Sr. Marty was a member, director, and treasurer of the Harveys Lake Rod & Gun Club for many years. The Short Range 50-yard Bench Cover and the Pistol Range Cover will be replaced. The project’s new scheduled start date is August 12, 2026, and the project is expected to last approximately five weeks.

During this time, the Short Range 50-yard and Pistol Range will be closed.

The Long Range 100-yard Cover will be closed until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, but will be open from 10:00 a.m. until prevailing sunset on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Archery Range and Trap Range will not be affected by the project and will remain open during their normal operating hours.
