So proud of these guys! 💪

They drove 2 hours into Mississippi yesterday to compete, handled business, and came home with wins—then showed up the very next day for wrestling practice ready to put in even more work.

That’s the mindset. That’s the commitment. That’s what champions do.

No excuses. No days off because you competed yesterday. Just a willingness to keep learning, keep working, and keep getting better.

Great job, guys! Proud of the competitors you’re becoming and even more proud of the work ethic you’re developing. 🏆🤼‍♂️🥋

2025-2026 was an excellent competition season for Science of Jiu Jitsu on the ADCC Circuit! We hade multiple top finishing students whose hard-work and dedication have placed them among some of the top grapplers in the country on the competitive scene Billy Cardwell David Magee LaMonte Brown Jack Mangum | Jiu Jitsu Marcus Dempsey . As a result our gym is recognized among some very recognizable powerhouses in competitive grappling. All this with only a few. Just imagine where we will be next year as we continue to grow our competition presence with many of our athletes that will be breaking out in the scene. Congratulations to all the students both in the competition and in the gym. It takes a village to go champions. We have a killer village. Let’s go 🔥

Congratulations to Mr. Jack Mangum on his continued commitment to competing at the highest level!

Jack continues to push himself consistently seeking out opportunities to test himself against the best competition available.

Through his continued success on the competition circuit, Jack earned an invitation to the ADCC Youth World Championships in Austin, Texas, where he put together an outstanding performance and battled his way to a 3rd-place finish on the world stage. 🥉🌎

This past weekend, Jack stepped up once again, competing at the inaugural UFC BJJ Series. Our Science of Jiu Jitsu orange belt delivered another tremendous performance:

🥇 1st Place — Gi
🥈 2nd Place — NoGi

Jack’s success is a reflection of his willingness to consistently compete, challenge himself, learn from every experience, and keep showing up ready to improve. It is also a reflection of the strong support system surrounding him — his parents who continue to invest their time and energy into his journey, his teammates who push him every day on the mat, and his coaches who continue to challenge, guide, and believe in him. Individual accomplishments are earned on the competition mat, but athletes are built through the collective effort of the people who stand behind them.

Congratulations, Jack! Keep working, keep competing, and keep pushing yourself to become the best version of yourself.

Another outstanding weekend for Team Science of Jiu Jitsu!

Congratulations to all of our youth, teen, and adult competitors on an incredible performance. Our athletes displayed outstanding courage, composure, and technical skill, earning an overall team record of 8-3, with the youth team finishing a perfect 5-0 and the adult/teen team going 3-2. Even more impressive, the vast majority of those victories came by submission—a true testament to the effectiveness of our technical Jiu Jitsu.

Special congratulations to Austin, Leighton, Kaleb, Kasiah, Canon, Jace, and Professor Zach, who all secured impressive submission victories in the cage.

None of this happens by accident. It is the result of countless hours on the mat, discipline, sacrifice, and the unwavering support of our families. Thank you to every parent, teammate, and supporter who helped create an incredible atmosphere this weekend.

Win or lose, we’re proud of every athlete who stepped forward and represented our academy with class. We continue to prove why Science of Jiu Jitsu is one of the premier programs in the region.

We’ll see everyone back on the mats this week—ready to keep improving.
