Well all I can say is it was good to get back on the soft water. After a long ice fishing season, we finally made it back to the big pond. I must say it didn't disappoint. We decided to get out the small rods and keep the big sticks tucked away. We started out using a few different things and found out the fish preferred #5 jigging raps tipped with minnows. After we got that dialed in, it was game on. We handled somewhere in the range of 30 plus eyes before we hung it up and headed in. Our best bite was in the 38-44 fow.

I had a productive morning fishing with Alex, Raylan, and Jeff on Saturday. We chose to fish out of Geneva, and it was fantastic as it has been. We began setting lines around 7:30 and had our limit by 9:00. We continued fishing for an additional 45 minutes before returning to port. Upon clearing the 7 rods, we found that all but one had fish. It's crazy how good the fishing is right now. Thanks again gentlemen for giving me a call, I'm glad we could make it happen.

Had a good day on the water With Matt, Greyson, Scott, and Austin. We were greeted with a north wind that made it a little hard to stay in the right water, but we made it happen. The bite wasn't as fast as it has been, but we had a steady pick of good eaters that are going to make for a great 4th fish fry.

Had a great day Friday on the water with Paige, Jonathan and Jerry! Fished out of the Cleveland area in 46 to 52 fow. We set out the big sticks and instantly started catching. Most of the fish were the great "eater size" with a nice 28 1/4 that Jonathan boated.
Since we got our limits quickly trolling, we decided to put away the big rods and do some casting. As expected, that didn't disappoint. Paige beat all of us! Great job Paige, you're quite the fisher lady!

Yesterday, Jace and I went to the lake to do some casting. I have to say, the fishing was on fire! We handled 45 eyes between us, with the biggest being a 26.5 incher. There's nothing like the feeling of that bite and that Cashion rod loading up!

Well I met Aiden, Larry and Dave this morning to go on a graduation fishing trip. Aiden's grandma thought it would be a good graduation gift. I would have to agree with his Grandma.
We shoved off the dock around 7:15 am to see what we could find. It started slow with just 6 keepers on the first pass. During that first pass the bow mount remote batteries decided to go dead. Unfortunately, it's a pain in the butt when you can't steer the boat with the bow mount. So after our slower than normal start and dead batteries, I decided to run back to the Marina and get new batteries. After we got that all straightened out, we decided to make a 10 mile location change. I set the first rod and instantly had a fish on then the bite slowed. As we proceeded on our troll, we started picking at them. The further east we went, the better the bite got. By the time we got close to our limits, we had doubled and triples going. It definitely didn't start out as good as I would have liked, but it ended with fire drills! Thanks again for going gentleman, and happy graduation!!

It's that time of year to start planning your walleye charter. If cabin fever is setting in, there is nothing that could help more than a walleye trip on Lake Erie. The catching outlook is great with a lot of quality fish in the mix. We will be offering casting and trolling trips this year. Feel free to reach out and get a day reserved to go catching!

Like many yesterday, we took advantage of the nice weather on the lake. It's awesome to get bonus days in December! We didn't boat anything over 8 lbs but we had a great grade of fish. Ended up keeping our 18 and putting back quite a few more in a few hours. Bandits at 45 to 50, reef runners 60 back, and p10's 20/20 and 30/30 did the damage.

Hopefully we'll have a couple more opportunities to get out before the cold sets back in 🤞
