🥎💛 ALABAMA IMPACT GOLD PREMIER 2014 💛🥎
What a weekend for this group! 5-3 record.
Our girls stepped up and competed in a 12U Open division against teams made up mostly of players moving up to 13U in just a few short weeks. Not once did they back down from the challenge. In fact, they exceeded every expectation we had for them.
These girls battled through 8 games in 2 days, endured the blazing summer heat, and continued to fight pitch after pitch, inning after inning. Their grit, toughness, and determination were on full display all weekend long, getting compliments by every coach on how scrappy we were!!
Out of the teams remaining on Sunday, only 3 teams were left standing, and 2 of those were 2014 teams. We are incredibly proud to bring home a 3rd Place finish while competing against older competition.
This weekend wasn’t just about wins and losses.. it was about proving to ourselves that we belong, that hard work pays off, and that this team is capable of big things. We were looking to see where we needed to be by this time next year, and we are very excited about the direction we are headed. The standard for IG never waivers, and when the hard things come, we fight until there is nothing left!
Proud of every single player and family that made this weekend possible. They will forever be the glue behind this whole team.
