Two more wins for your favorite soccer teams! The boys took care of business on their home grass against Crestwood last night, with Varsity remaining unbeaten and JV Blue earning their third consecutive shutout.

The Varsity Eagles had their chances, but couldn’t find the back of the net until the 2nd half. After sustained pressure on Crestwood’s defense, they finally broke the scoring open, with seniors filling the stat sheet. Forward Brayden Hilborn put Hartland on the scoreboard with (another) assist from left back/co-captain Cameron Price. Attacking midfielder Zane King and striker/co-captain Eli Savage both converted penalty kicks for the other two Hartland goals. An unfortunate deflection made the score closer than the match ever felt. Senior goalkeeper Ethan Lange made three saves to earn the win.

JV Blue scored twice in the 1st half and was stout defensively to earn another shutout win. Sophomores Fredo Gjolaj and Andrea Pecaj scored for Hartland, with freshman Curtis Whitt and sophomore Jackson Gibbs adding assists. Sophomore goalkeeper Zack Laskey made six saves for his third clean sheet.

A huge matchup looms tomorrow, with the #3-ranked Okemos Wolves coming to Hartland for a tripleheader! Go Eagles!! 🦅⚽️

Another sweep for Varsity and JV Blue! A questionable goal late in the varsity match ruined matching clean sheets, but two easy road wins at East Lansing made for a great night!

The Varsity Eagles scored early and took a commanding 4-0 lead into halftime of their match, ending with a 5-1 win to keep them undefeated early in their season. Senior Zane King continued to pace the Eagles scoring with a hat trick, and an assist to boot. Sophomore Colton Garl assisted King’s first goal, with the other two coming off a penalty kick and own goal from the Trojans. Seniors Eli Savage and Brayden Hilborn scored the other two goals for Hartland, with King assisting Hilborn and senior Cameron Price setting up Savage. Both Lange brothers saw time keeping our goal, combining for 5 saves.

The JV Blue squad battled the Trojans in the 1st half, before breaking the scoring open in the 2nd half with goals from freshman Curtis Whitt and sophomore Karter McKinnon, with assists from freshman Shane Davis and sophomore Jayden Yang. Sophomore Andrea Pecaj iced the match after converting a penalty kick. Sophomore Zack Laskey made some big saves to earn the shutout.

Both teams are back home tomorrow night, with a KLAA matchup against Dearborn Crestwood. Go Eagles!! 🦅⚽️

Matching shutout wins for our Varsity and JV Blue squads last night on the hot turf at Howell!

Varsity picked apart a defensive Highlander team, scoring in bunches early and late in their match. Senior Zane King notched his second consecutive brace, with junior Tyler Sienkiewicz also scoring twice. Senior captain Jackson Abbott scored in his first action this season. Senior captain Cameron Price continued his incredible service with two assists, with fellow senior captain Eli Savage and sophomore Pierce Wozniak each adding one assist to the score sheet. Senior Ethan Lange and sophomore Grant Lange combined for the shutout, Hartland’s first this season.

The Eagles sit at 2-0-1 on the season, with a 3-1 win against Dearborn and a 2-2 draw with Salem under their belt. Hartland looks forward to an away match at East Lansing next Tuesday, after the Labor Day weekend. Go Eagles!! 🦅⚽️

The JV Blue Eagles earned their first victory of the season with an easy 2-0 win. Despite sustained pressure for most of the match, they didn’t get on the scoreboard until the 27th minute, when sophomore captain Camden Aldrich scored on a set piece. Sophomore Andrea Pecaj added the ever-important insurance goal just a few minutes later and Eagles were able to easily protect that lead.
