It was a great day of showing. These ladies and their steeds really brought it to the ring today. Lots of good rides, pulling off some nice placings, and the best part was all the smiles they had while doing it. Truly satisfying to watch! After cheering each other (and their competitors too) these ladies and their horses are pooped. Finishing up chores, and feeding their partners so they’re ready for a fun and FAST day tomorrow!

The girls are all loaded in and set up at the WIHA State Championship Horse show. Both of these ladies have really overcome serious adversity this year with their horses. The goal was to merely have a fun season with friends and horses. They really stepped up and showed their strength and skill bringing home the Grand Championship in their division, earning the oppurtunity to compete against the best in the state.
Wish them luck as they ride against 36 other teams and 190 equestrians. One ride tonight and then it really gets rolling bright and early tomorrow morning.

The high school WIHA season will be upon us before we know it. Any HUHS students that would like to join the competitive equestrian club, please contact me. There are 2 shows that we need to prepare for. One is in Elkhorn on September 28-29 and the state show is in Madison on October 25-27. We ask that all participants have their own horse or lease a horse and be able to transport it to and from the shows. Previous show experience is very highly recommended. We have the show dates for this year's WIHA schedule. The Regional show is September 28 -29 down in Elkhorn. The state show is October 25-27 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
