If I’m on to serve as your next president of USA Boxing in Connecticut, I believe that with your support, together we can bring about positive changes and advancements in the sport.
As former Vice President for USA Boxing in Connecticut, where I proudly served for four years. During my tenure, I had the privilege of contributing to the growth and development of the sport in our state. One of the significant milestones we achieved was securing sponsorship for the 1st Annual Willie Pep Invitational at the prestigious Bond Ballroom in downtown Hartford. Events like these not only showcase the talent but also create opportunities for young boxers to gain exposure and recognition.
Building on some past successes, I aim to establish Connecticut as a model Local Boxing Committee (LBC) within the country. By creating a strong and supportive LBC, we can effectively recruit more young athletes across the state to join USA Boxing. Our prime objective will be to provide scholarships to deserving kids, making the sport accessible to all, regardless of financial barriers. Ensuring that the youth have access to resources, coaching, and facilities will help nourish their talent and pave the way for a bright future in boxing.
If elected as your next president, we will establish the 1st Hall of Fame for Amateur Boxing. This visionary initiative will honor legendary boxers and coaches, celebrating their outstanding contributions to the sport. By preserving their legacies, we will inspire future generations to hone their skills and strive for greatness.
One of the key principles I wish to uphold is the involvement of parents and guardians in their children's sporting endeavors. By actively engaging parents, we can foster a supportive and nurturing environment that places equal emphasis on sportsmanship, character development, and academic excellence.
During my time as VP I wanted to help accomplish so many things but I was limited to do so, however as your next president, I am determined to work hand in hand with the board, coaches, and young athletes to overcome challenges collectively. The path to success requires teamwork, communication, and a shared vision. Together, we can reinvigorate USA Boxing in Connecticut and propel the sport to new heights.
Therefore, I humbly and wholeheartedly ask for your support. By joining forces, we can transform the lives of aspiring boxers and make a positive impact on their futures. If you have any questions or would like to discuss further, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to our continued collaboration.
Sincerely,
Angel Morales
