The Hartford Rolling Anvils Youth Cycling Program takes our name and inspiration from the Buffalo Soldiers. Bicycle Nomad bikepacked the entire 1900 mile route from Fort Missoula to St. Louis in honor and dedication to soldiers intrepid ride in 1897. The ride highlights the people of color who have often lead the way in sport and society but are forgotten in favor of "White History". Thank you and Congratulations to Bicycle Nomad for celebrating legacy.

Happy New Year!

Earlier this month we gave an introductory presentation about the Rolling Anvils Team to a group of aspiring youth bikers at YOUmedia Hartford which is part of Hartford Public Library. We plan to continue working with YOUmedia this Spring and hopefully get them out on the trail!
