Players need to bring water or Powerade/Gatorade to tonight’s games. We will add extra breaks like we did on Tuesday and kids can be substituted at any time if they need a break. See the image for more info.

Due to the current heat index and the Heat Advisory, we have been advised that it is not advisable for children to be outside for extended periods of time, especially while participating in athletic activities.

For the safety of our players, coaches, referees, and families, all games scheduled for tonight are canceled. These games will not be made up.

We will monitor the heat index for tomorrow and let everyone know what the plan will be for tomorrow evening’s games.

We are so sorry for yet another cancellation. Mother Nature has certainly dealt us some big blows this season — from historic flooding and what felt like a monsoon to now a late-summer heat wave!

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please make sure your families know that tonight’s games are canceled.

Stay safe, stay cool, and stay hydrated tonight!

Heat like this sneaks up fast, especially on kids who are too busy playing to notice they're thirsty.

Quick reminder on keeping them safe and hydrated:

Hydration strategy: Offer water or ice pops before they ask. Popsicles, water-rich fruit (watermelon, berries, cucumbers), and cold diluted juice are lifesavers for reluctant drinkers.

Watch for warning signs: Keep an eye out for dry lips, flushed cheeks, sudden fatigue, crankiness, or dark urine.

Pacing the outdoors: Stick to shade when possible, stick to early morning or late afternoon for heavy play, and build in cool-down breaks every 20-30 minutes.
