Due to the special circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we have been unable to recruit and train new archers as of the 2020 fall semester. We are currently exploring our options for accepting new members to the JMU Archery team with UREC, but the situation is fluid and changes often. We appreciate your understanding during theses trying times and encourage you to reach out to one of of members by m

Club Archery provides an opportunity for new archers to spark interest and development as well an environment for regional and national level competition. Membership requirements are a good attitude and willingness to learn. Even if you have never touched a bow before, we have had members make All-American and New Archer of the Year within their first year or two of picking up a bow. No equipment is needed for beginners. We provide beginning bows, arrows, and equipment. The traveling team consists of members in each of the following categories: Women's Compound, Men's Compound, Women's Recurve, Men's Recurve, Women’s Bowhunter, Men’s Bowhunter, Women's Barebow and Men's Barebow. For reference, archers shoot 60 arrows at an indoor tournament. So 25 cents for 60 arrows ​is $15 and 50 cents for 60 arrows is $30.
