Halterman Karate Kickboxing & Jiu Jitsu (H.K.I) has produced champions, National and International, in Kata, Weapons, and Sparring in Children and Adult divisions and also in the full contact ring in kickboxing. Grand Master Halterman is a 9th degree Black Belt. He holds the titles of:

Grand Master Halterman started training in 1968 while in the military. Married in 1974 to Kathy and have two children, Sam born in 1977 and Kristy born in 1980.Trained in Okinawan and Japenese Goju-Ryu and other sytle such as Chinese Ching Lung, Tai Chi (Yang Style) and Tuite (pressure point striking). Halterman Karate Kickboxing & Jiu Jitsu (H.K.I.) was founded at 95 North Main Street in Harrisonburg in 1977. We moved to our present location at 16 Plasant Hill Road in 1990.
