Congratulations to Mark “Buck” Gindling on an incredible 2 on the par 5 17th hole on June 12! Buck holed a 6-iron from 198 yards for a rare double eagle (albatross) — one of golf’s most amazing feats.

Harrison players decided to stitch the initials "DJ" in their hats this season to honor Don Jostworth, a man who spent decades coaching, teaching and impacting lives.

Now, they're making program history, winning the first regional championship in program history.

2026 Circling Hills Match Play Championship!

Registration is now open for the Circling Hills Match Play Championship!

Tournament Details
💲 Entry Fee: $25 (plus greens fees and cart fees when you play)

📋 Format: Pod Play
• Each player will compete in 3 matches within their pod
• Players schedule matches directly with their opponents
• Match deadlines will be established every two weeks
• The winner of each pod advances to the Championship Bracket
• Match #1 must be completed by July 5 (or will be played at 1:00 PM on July 5)
• Successive rounds will be completed every two weeks until a champion is crowned

Divisions
🔹 Championship Flight – Blue Tees
🔹 Senior Flight (55+) – White Tees
🔹 Super Senior Flight (70+) – Grey Tees

• Maximum of 16 players per division
• Senior and Super Senior formats may be adjusted based on participation
• Matches are played without handicaps (handicaps are used for seeding only)

Heads Up Circling Golfers!

Important: The current road closure on Carolina Trace does NOT affect access to the course when approaching from New Haven Road to Carolina Trace. However, some GPS apps incorrectly assume access is blocked from that direction and may route you to the opposite side of the closure (which is closed). If that happens, you may find yourself unable to reach the course directly and needing to take a lengthy detour back around.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the course for directions.

Recommended route:
• Take New Haven Road to Carolina Trace
• Turn north onto Carolina Trace
• Follow it to the Circling Hills Golf Course entrance

⚡️ Storm damage at Circling Hills GC

A lightning strike hit the flagstick on Hole #2, blowing out the cup and leaving a branching, scorched pattern across the green. The charge then traveled across the surface and damaged nearby irrigation equipment.

We appreciate your patience as we work to restore the green.
