Devil's Knob Golf Course

Devil's Knob Golf Course Mid-Michigan's hidden treasure - a beautiful course situated on rolling terrain, just off US 127 in The log clubhouse sits near the corner of N. Rodgers Rd. & E.

Designed and built by the late Duane Baumer, Devil's K**b is a public golf course with 9 holes scenically located amidst the beautiful rolling hills in Hamilton Township, Clare County, Michigan. Cranberry Lake Rd. The course is approximately 15-25 minutes from Harrison, Clare, & Gladwin; 40-45 minutes from Mt. Pleasant, Houghton Lake, & Beaverton; and an hour from Grayling, Midland, & Alma. Devil'

s K**b is open 7 days a week with plans to close October 31 for the 2012 season (earlier if snows). No tee times are necessary, but calling before coming is a good idea if wanting to avoid busy league times. Also, the course occasionally closes for large scheduled outings or events. Special fall rates now apply with even lower fees on Wednesdays (all day). The holes range from par 3 to par 5 with 1 sand trap and 2 water holes. Our fairways are wide, making them very forgiving for beginners to the sport! A putting green is situated near the first tee. The most challenging hole is #8 with the green nestled on top of the steep k**b for which the course was named. Rental clubs, pull carts, & riding cars are available. Wednesdays have become our most popular times for walkers. On foot or riding, we hope to see you soon!

Happy Spring! Snow melting update: these were taken this afternoon. These final areas were knee-deep just a week ago Wednesday! Fairways with partial snow coverage include: 2, 6, 7, 8, & 9. Only #6 green remains completely covered. The remaining open areas are quickly drying, including "Lake Joanna" across 6 & 7!

Even when the golf season has ended, golf course work is never done. This catastrophe happened 3/4 the width of #3 fairway this week when tree-trimming equipment got stuck & had to be towed/pulled out. Irrigation piping & wiring need fixed: next on the agenda. It’s 2020, though, so we must take it in stride! ⛳️
