ZirkOps Security and Training, LLC is seeking experienced, licensed, and highly professional Armed Security Officers for client sites throughout Chattanooga, TN.

🛑 This role demands more than showing up with a firearm. We want officers with strong judgment, sound situational awareness, and the kind of professionalism clients notice.

📋 What You'll Do
• Patrol posts, conduct access control & monitor surveillance systems
• Scan QR checkpoints via patrol management app
• Respond to alarms, disturbances & incidents — calmly and appropriately
• Write clear, detailed incident reports and daily activity logs
• Apply de-escalation techniques; use force only within legal and ethical limits

• 21+ | High School Diploma or GED
• Active TN Armed Security Officer/Guard License

A re-certification for a Tennessee armed security officer must occur every two years. Every two (2) years armed security guards must complete 4 hours of refresher training and re-qualify in the use of a firearm by achieving a minimum of 70% on any silhouette target course approved by the commissioner prior to the renewal of their guard registration.

ZirkOps Enhanced handgun permit classes follow industrial standards set by the state of Tennessee to ensure quality certifications. The Tennessee state guidelines are as follows: Safety, Practice and Application – Firearm Cleaning and Storage – Legal Liabilities of Carrying, Possessing and Using a Handgun – Firing Range – Basic Marksmanship Skills – Test/Written – Fi****ms Qualification

Tennessee State Application:
To be prepared for the class you will need to go to https://dl.safety.tn.gov and complete the Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit Application. This will only take a few minutes and can be done from a smartphone or computer. Upon completion of the application, you will be given a 7-15 digit “application” number (no letters). Please write this number down, print the page and/or create a screen capture so that you will have a record of this number. Once you exit this screen you will not be able to obtain this number again and we do not have access to your number. This application number is important because it is how we will link your certificate of completion to the state so that you will be able to obtain your Carry Permit, so please bring this number with you to class.

Firearm Requirements:
For the range test, you will need a handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition. Please note that you do not have to test with the gun that you will be carrying, so individuals often use a smaller caliber handgun for testing. If you do not have a gun then we do provide rentals at a reasonable cost. We do not have ammunition on-site for sale. Please make sure you have 50 rounds if bringing your own handgun. If you bring your own firearm (unloaded) then you must leave it in your vehicle until time for the shooting test. We do provide eye and ear protection at no charge.

PREREQUISITE: INTERMEDIATE RIFLE AT ZIRKOPS TRAINING.

Students attending this class will enter into a curriculum designed around marksmanship skills, target acquisition, and shot placement from various shooting positions.

This will be the next step up from the INTERMEDIATE RIFLE TRAINING CLASS. It will be taught in a low-light setting. It is recommended that you have a flashlight and red dot sight or something similar to that on your rifle.

Studies include the following:
Refining marksmanship skills
Trigger manipulation drills
Sight/Acquire/Fire Drills
How to diagnose missed shots
How to acquire the targets from a variety of positions
Standing/Seated/Lying Down

Advanced Weapons Malfunction and Clearance Procedures
Upon completion of this class, students can improve marksmanship skills by refining basic principles and applying them in the range. Students will be able to effectively acquire and place shots on target from a variety of positions. These positions could be used in real-world self-defense situations when engaging targets from a variety of positions to include seated and lying down. The real fun of this class is discovering that there is more to shooting than your basic standing position.

ZirkOps will provide you with hearing and eye protection for use during the range portion of the class. Students are encouraged to bring their personal weapons to use during the live fire portion of the class with 125 rounds of ammunition. If you do not currently own a firearm, rental guns and ammunition are available for an additional cost. It is recommended that students wear a hat with a bill, closed-toe footwear, and comfortable clothes with a high neckline.

This course provides the basic operational theory and practical training for users to reasonably safely and effectively operate CEWs. This course covers the major CEWs, and will certify those who successfully complete the course as CEW users

The course also includes several drills and a knowledge assessment is required.
Exposure during the Instructor Course is not required, it is voluntary. We do not require officers to be exposed to a CEW device to be certified as a user

It is recommended that end users re-certify annually. Annual re-certification consists of firing at least two live cartridges in addition to any departmental-mandated training, and reviewing the CEW annual user update, product warnings, and current training bulletins
