CHEER ON BELLA!!

🚨 HORNET NATION, IT'S TIME TO SHOW UP! 💙💛🐝

Today, Bella Young is headed to MEGASTARS, leaving town at 1:15 PM to compete in both the Mile and the 3200 Meter Run!

Earning a spot at this event wasn't easy. Bella had to hit some impressive qualifying times and has worked tirelessly all season to make this moment possible. Through early mornings, tough practices, and countless miles, she has proven that hard work, dedication, and determination truly pay off.

We couldn't be more proud of the athlete, teammate, and young woman she has become. Watching her growth throughout this track season has been incredible, and now she gets the opportunity to represent Hornet Nation on one of the biggest stages.

As Bella closes out her middle school track career, let's give her the send-off she deserves! If you're available, line the streets and help us cheer her on as she heads out of town. Let's show her how proud our community is of everything she's accomplished.

Good luck today, Bella! Run hard, have fun, make memories, and enjoy every second of this experience. No matter what happens on the track, you've already made your family, teammates, coaches, and community proud.

On top of winning a State Championship in Long Jump. Samantha Hopkins also set the record for 100m with a time of 12.70 and secured All State!

Congratulations and what a way to end your high-school career as a Lady Hornet. As a coaching staff are proud of you and the woman you have become. We can't wait to see you run at the next level Samantha Hopkins

A great day and experience for these athletes!

States is a rare chance for many athletes just to qualify and these kids were able to come out and perform to the best of there abilities.

For the 4x800 m relay we had juniors, Jayden Bobzein, Raymond Cosgrove, Logan Young and Collin Dennis.

Jayden Bobzein also is running the 400 m.

We have senior Samantha Hopkins who qualified for the 100 and 200 m dash. And took first for the long jump.

Junior Alivia Winters took 3rd in discus.

And Junior Caitlyn Kirby qualified for high jump.

Way to go Hornets, the work isn't over. However it shows.

Our athletes went to the 2nd annual fun run in Petosky this last Thursday! The kids had a fun time and and it was a great reliever for the last meet of the season.

Also our girls team ended up taking second overall, which is a huge accomplishment!
