Our client has an immediate opening for Manager of Title and Settlement Services. Based in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, our client is a well-established and respected title firm focused on delivering quality with a great company culture.
Manager of Title & Settlement Services
The Manager of Title & Settlement Services will interact with clients, and understanding their needs, and become an immediate integral part of the team. You will oversee and work with our team in order in ensure a successful title/settlement process. If you are a dedicated professional, have strong real estate experience, enjoy customer service, have a strong attention to detail, and work well with others, lets talk!
What we’re looking for
• A leader to manage a small team of settlement officers, post closers and a title reader/underwriting.
• Strong and effective leadership skills with the ability to lead from the front and drive a culture of results & accountability.
• Solid project management skills and a strong proven attention to detail.
• Experience methodically navigating closing and post-closing issues.
• Exemplary customer service experience with the consultative and intuitive ability to manage complex relationships.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• 5 years title/settlement experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
• Combination of education and experience: Settlement related real estate experience in residential/commercial required.
• Title insurance producer license preferred (required long term).
• Must be flexible with hours due to the nature of the business – Flexibility & adaptability are key.
• Must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to maintain composure at all times.
• Proficient understanding of title binders, searches, Closing Disclosure (CD) / HUD, and closing/settlement processes.
• Detail oriented professional, with ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Thorough understanding of the service process with the ability to build strong working business relationships.
• Take charge attitude, high ownership personality, team oriented, highly self-motivated, confident, and hardworking, with ability to manage time and workload efficiently.
• Plan, organize and manage workflow, meet timely deadlines, and think critically and analytically to solve problems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong customer service skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Proficient ability to use technology and analytical tools.
