NCHA proudly announces Chase Lackey of Burlington, North Carolina, as the association’s newest Vice President. Lackey will begin his term on Sunday, June 21, with the installation of new officers during the General Membership Meeting at the NCHA Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Vice President of the NCHA is a vital part of the organization, working alongside the President and Executive Committee to help guide the future of both the NCHA and the sport of cutting. Lackey won the Vice Presidency election with 52.6% of the votes in his favor.

“I’m truly grateful for the trust and support the membership has shown throughout this campaign,” said Lackey. “NCHA means a great deal to my family and me, and I know it means just as much to so many others who have invested their time, passion, and hard work into this association.”

“I’m committed to leading with integrity, fiscal responsibility, and a vision focused on growth, unity, and long-term success,” he continued. “I believe our best days are still ahead of us, and I’m excited to work together to continue moving NCHA forward.”

Due to a scheduling conflict at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, the NCHA will amend the dates of the 2026 NCHA Metallic Cat World Championship Futurity.

The event will now be held November 16 – December 12, 2026, instead of the previously scheduled dates of November 9 – December 5, 2026.

As a result of this adjustment, the conclusion of the 2026 NCHA point year will also move from November 8, 2026, to November 15, 2026.

We appreciate the understanding and support of our members, exhibitors, and industry partners as we implement these necessary scheduling changes. Additional event information and updates will be communicated as they become available.
