Ole Slick Rick, a big ole slick beam management axis buck! For less than $2,000 you could fill a good portion of your freezer with some of the best wild game there is to eat!

This is on a high fence property in Hunt Tx, but don’t let that fool you! this will not be an easy pop in the gate and start blasting type hunt. It will take a fair amount of effort to locate and get a shot. There is a good amount of trophy axis, whitetail and some high quality rams as well!

No meals or lodging, Day hunts only, plenty of air bnb or hotels in the area.

Day fee + Harvest fee, if nothing is killed or wounded all you pay is your day fee. Your day fee includes guide, ranch transportation, and cleaning of your harvest.

Cooter and I got to stretch the ole legs the other night…an archery gut shot deer, no sight of blood at all but we watched the deer jump the fence with obvious signs of a gut shot… we got on the phone right away to get permission to track on the neighbors land. After getting the green light and giving it an hour and a half or so we headed off, I tossed Cooter over the fence and in a very short few hundred yards he found the deer, opened up and the deer immediately broke bay, jumping the fence back on to our property and the race was on! The only issue with this race is the fact you can contain Cooter in a kennel made up of 3 strand barb wire… I’ve never seen a dog respect a fence like cooter. He literally waits and paces the fence until I get there and toss him over. I tossed him over a total of 6 fences that night, luckily the deer made a big loop always either on our side or the neighbors but in the end we got him right by our front gate! An easy pack out after a hard fought race!

It’s my fault for not having more dogs trained up behind Cooter. I guess I’m just a sucker for this 2019 model! I’ve got a couple 7 month old pups I’ve started now and with time they hopefully make great dogs. Better late than never I suppose!

It goes without saying, we will do what it takes to make your trip a success. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. The dog is the best tool in my guide bag and that’s going to save you money in the long run! I do not charge my clients for tracking, I just want the night to end as successfully and quickly as possible, just as the client intended.

Who’s looking for their next favorite deer hunting ranch?!

The BMW is 2,000 acres located just north west of Harper Texas. The beautiful farm house sleeps 12+ guest and also has a cozy outdoor cooking area just asking for a fire and a steak! Bring your own meals and cook for yourself, or hire one of our highly skilled chefs and set all worries aside!

Between hunts spend time fishing the 8 acre lake for hybrid striped bass, Florida large mouth, and some of the biggest blue gill you’ve seen in your life! Also with several creeks and a river, it was a magnet for the Native Americans, allowing you to step back in time and maybe find a little piece of history left behind from long long ago.

The deer will range in a mix of natives and pasture born deer with introduced genetics from 20+ years ago, most deer are very typical and classic looking ranging from 130-200”+ with the majority of trophies being 140-180”

DIY/Semi guided free range archery hunts.

Multiple stands but I wouldn’t run anymore than 2 bowhunters at a time to keep blind options open to correctly play the wind.

We have a good amount of 8 points we want to take off the feed bill. As well as some cull and trophy options.

With Whitetail, axis, sika, turkey, dove, pigs and now apparently red deer there’s always something to chase out there!
