An educator, mentor, and valued instructor in our adult Jiu Jitsu classes, Gabriel represents experience, loyalty, and leadership. Bobby Muniz has been a dedicated HJJC student for three years, earning his blue belt through consistency, hard work, and commitment. As a pharmacist who helps run the family pharmacy, a sitting HCISD board member, and a devoted family man, Bobby carries tremendous responsibilities—yet he still finds time to step onto the mats and train. His discipline, leadership, and ability to balance family, career, community service, and Jiu Jitsu make him an outstanding example both inside and outside the academy.

Hector Resendiz has been a dedicated HJJC student for 13 years and proudly serves as a Texas State Trooper. A four-stripe purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Hector represents discipline, commitment, and service both on and off the mats. We’re proud to have him as a longtime member of the HJJC family!

Daniel Machuca : Daniel Machuca is a longtime student, trusted teammate, and 3rd-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with more than 20 years of training. His discipline, loyalty, and commitment extend beyond the mats through his service as a Harlingen Police Officer and Harlingen police SWAT operator. Daniel represents the highest standards of leadership, courage, and dedication—both at HJJC and in our community.
