As you head out to train, please be mindful of any soft or muddy areas, especially inside the goal mouths where the turf has taken the most wear. To help protect the fields, coaches are asked to use pop-up goals or cones in alternative areas rather than practicing directly in the goals.

We’re kicking off our Summer Season this Monday, June 22nd 🎉 and can’t wait to see everyone out on the fields!
👉 Important Reminders:
There will be reserved parking areas for vendors and customers closest to the parks and clubhouse 🚧.
Please do not park where you see cones and caution tape.
Be safe and watch for pedestrians at all times. 👟👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

⚠️ HUFC FIELD UPDATE – TUESDAY, JUNE 16th ⚠️

Due to the recent rainfall and wet field conditions, all HUFC fields will be closed today, Tuesday, June 16, and may remain closed on Wednesday, June 17th, depending on field conditions and any additional rain we receive. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as they become available.

Our goal is to give the fields time to recover and be in the best possible condition for our Summer World Cup Kickoff on Monday, June 22nd! ⚽🌎

⚠️ HUFC Summer World Cup Kickoff Update ⚠️
After consultation with and at the request of the City of Harlingen Parks & Recreation Department, we have been asked to cancel tonight's HUFC Summer World Cup Kickoff activities.

With the potential for severe weather and flash flooding in the area, the City of Harlingen is taking proactive measures to prioritize the safety of our community. As much as we were looking forward to seeing everyone on the fields tonight, the safety of our players, families, coaches, volunteers, and vendors must come first.

We know many of you have been preparing for tonight's festivities, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience. We would also like to thank our vendors and volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort to making this event special.

🌎⚽ Our HUFC Summer World Cup Kickoff has been rescheduled for Monday, June 22nd. ⚽🌎

We appreciate your understanding and support as we work together to keep our soccer families safe. We can't wait to kick off an exciting summer season with all of you next week.

We are actively monitoring the weather, and the safety of our players and families remains our top priority. We will continue to keep an eye on conditions throughout the evening and provide updates if needed.

The soccer fields were dry yesterday and are looking great today and they definitely needed the rain! ☀️🌱⚽️

We can't wait to see everyone out at the fields tonight as we kick off our HUFC World Cup season! Bring your energy, your team spirit, and get ready for a fun night of soccer.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue preparing for the start of our Summer World Cup season. We know many parents have questions, and we want to do our best to make sure everyone receives the information they need.

If you have a question or concern and would like assistance, please call/text (956) 674-4446 for help from a Board Member or you can send me the information below. I will gladly forward it to the appropriate Board member so they can follow up with you directly.

📢 HUFC Parent Update 6.14.26

As we prepare for the start of our summer season, we wanted to provide a quick update for families.

Rosters have been created and assigned. Coaches have been asked to begin contacting their players and families directly.

For a small number of teams that are still awaiting a coach, we are reaching out to parents through GroupMe links and text messages to identify parent volunteers so those teams can begin their season as scheduled weather permitting.

Shirts will be given out before the game. Coaches will pick up the shirts and distribute them to players.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to send us a message. While I do not have access to rosters or schedules, I am happy to route your question to the appropriate HUFC Board Member for assistance.
