This coming Tuesday, we will have a tournament that will probably be completed the following week with trophies and ribbons being awarded then (Longblade Open). It will be lots of fun and a full USFA type tournament so that you learn what those are like. You won’t need to join USA Fencing, but must register and show up Tuesday to fence it! Follow the link to Ask Fred to register below. If you’re 10 or younger, you’ll be in Y10. If you’re over 10, till fence Seniors. Once we’re finished with the tournament, we’ll have open fencing and continue repairing 6 epees in class, so you have plenty of electric equipment after I’m gone. I will be there the next four weeks, but my last day will be November 26. I want to have team photos this Tuesday (Nov 5) and to inventory the equipment, too. It is imperative that you bring your borrowed equipment next week so Rick and I can inventory it, even if you can’t fence that night. If you have been missing class or have stopped fencing,YOU MUST RETURN THE EQUIPMENT ON TUESDAY so that our club can continue to have a healthy inventory for the future. As you know, Rick and I have divided the club’s equipment and he has purchased half of it. So, we need to include what has been borrowed in the division of the club’s equipment. So, again, BRING ALL YOUR BORROWED EQUIPMENT next week. If you’re unable to bring it, let me know and I’ll come to your home and pick it up. I greatly appreciate all of you and will miss you tremendously, but I know Rick will continue the classes doing a great job and even may be adding an additional day on Fridays. See you Tuesday and let me know if you can’t make is so I can make arrangements to get your borrowed equipment before then.
